Ferguson Bombers Sentenced

A foiled plot to use bombs to assassinate the police chief, county prosecutor, and other officials in troubled Ferguson, Mo., and also blow up the iconic Gateway Arch in nearby St. Louis, has ended in federal prison terms for two New Black Panther Party members.

In a sweetheart plea bargain deal, Olajuwon Davis and Brandon Orlando Baldwin, both radical black Muslim men in their twenties, received mere seven-year custodial sentences last week from U.S. District Judge Henry Autrey when they could have been sent to prison for decades. The men were sentenced "on charges of planning and conspiring to ignite explosive devices during the Ferguson protests and procuring firearms for convicted felons," according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri.

U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan congratulated law enforcement for preventing what might have been a major disaster. "The disruption of this plot ... undoubtedly saved lives. Luckily for all of us, we’ll never know just how many," he said.

Davis and Baldwin met when they participated in the protests in Ferguson that followed the Aug. 9, 2014 death of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old black man. Brown was killed by white then-police officer Darren Wilson when he charged Wilson after trying to wrest his service weapon from him. Brown's death sparked riots in Ferguson and across America. Soon after meeting, Davis and Baldwin began plotting to arm fellow demonstrators and destroy the Gateway Arch.

The sentencing comes as black nationalists and members of the Black Lives Matter movement escalate calls for violent attacks on police, while the Obama administration responds by sitting on its hands. Last month Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan called for "10,000 fearless men" to come forward and slaughter white Americans. Black-supremacist King Noble is calling on blacks to murder whites and police. "It's not safe no more to be white in America," Noble announced in a viral YouTube video. "Lurking behind any corner could be an angry black man ready to take yo ass out."

It also comes as the terrorist-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) throws its lot in with the increasingly violent Black Lives Matter movement. Breitbart News reports that "CAIR leaders and members joined Black Lives Matter in a march on the California State Capitol on [Sept. 2], targeting Gov. Jerry Brown’s office over a new bill that, in part, would expand bans on racial profiling to include perceived ethnicity." The fact that CAIR is siding with violent activists against police "creates a serious problem for CAIR’s defenders, which argue that its associations with Islamic extremism can be overlooked because it helps law enforcement work with, and within, the Muslim community."

Black Americans today receive preferential treatment in the realm of elections and voting rights because the Left needs them to acquire and keep political power. 

To left-wingers it's 1815, not 2015. Blacks today are unquestionably full citizens unhindered by officially-sanctioned discrimination, but to the Left there are still crosses burning in front of black families' houses while residents cower in terror inside. 

It's a nefarious but brilliant strategy that relies on Republican cowardice.

When "Democrats turn election process rules into racial issues, they know they can get Republicans to shut up and capitulate, no matter how phony the civil rights branding," writes former Justice Department attorney J. Christian Adams.

"The Left understands the interaction of culture with process," he adds. "The Left knows that new election process rules act as a new set of sails to capture cultural prevailing winds favorable to Democrats."

In other words, process is power.

America's Fearmonger-in-Chief is always spreading alarm about a phony Republican push that threatens to prevent African-Americans from participating in the democratic process. A year ago Obama told Al Sharpton's group that:

The principle of one person, one vote is the single greatest tool we have to redress an unjust status quo. You would think there would not be an argument about this anymore. But the stark, simple truth is this: The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago.

Across the country, Republicans have led efforts to pass laws making it harder, not easier, for people to vote. In some places, women could be turned away from the polls just because they’re registered under their maiden name but their driver’s license has their married name. Senior citizens who have been voting for decades may suddenly be told they can no longer vote until they can come up with the right ID. In other places, folks may learn that without a document like a passport or a birth certificate, they can’t register.  

Obama, as usual, is lying. 

It is his party that is assaulting voting rights by aggressively encouraging vote fraud. Democrats oppose photo ID requirements for voting because such laws discourage non-citizens, illegal aliens, disenfranchised criminals, and con artists from voting. Democrats want voting rights restored to disqualified felons -- many of whom are black -- because they vote for Democrats at a rate of 9 to 1. They support same-day registration because it makes fraud easier.

An Al Sharpton-led memorial service yesterday for Michael Brown, the black 18-year-old thug who gave a white Ferguson, Mo. police officer a severe head injury while trying to seize his handgun, became the grotesque political rally some observers feared it would be.

The distinctly anti-police tone of the service was proof that the lie that Brown tried to surrender to white police officer Darren Wilson, rather than trying to beat the life out of him, won’t die. The racial-grievance industry, egged on by President Obama, won’t let it go.

The Left’s narrative that the nearly 300-lbs. Brown, who had just robbed a convenience store on Aug. 9 mere minutes before encountering decorated policeman Wilson, is under withering evidentiary assault every day. As federal officials scour the riot-torn St. Louis suburb in a desperate search for material to justify federal civil rights charges, Sharpton is pressing on with his campaign to foment race-based hatred.

The funeral sets the stage for the mob-led lynching of Officer Wilson, an outcome eagerly sought by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Missouri’s governor, Jay Nixon (D). Nixon has been covering his left flank in recent days, terrified because activists noticed that he seemed to support law and order and oppose mobocracy, rioting, and looting in the early hours of the crisis that followed Brown’s death.

But after criticism from the Left, Nixon, like the Democratic members of the local congressional delegation, wants Wilson indicted, evidence or not.

Lionizing the Enemy

A project is underway to rehabilitate the self-exiled Sixties radical, anti-Semite and “black power” advocate Stokely Carmichael.

The opening salvo in this revisionist project of the Afro-centrist Marxist Left in academia is Stokely: A Life, by Peniel E. Joseph, which was recently published by BasicCivitas Books.

It is more infomercial than biography, calculated to transform its negligible subject into a towering figure of historic importance, and to whitewash the damage he did. Joseph’s central argument is that Carmichael was a “rock star” activist who inspired generations and who singlehandedly changed the course of American history.

Perversely, Joseph calls Carmichael a civil rights leader. If that fairly summarizes Carmichael’s work, he was a civil rights leader only in the bizarre modern sense that racial arsonist like Al Sharpton is a civil rights leader.

It is difficult to imagine an American civil rights leader making common cause with ruthless African dictators but that is what Carmichael did. He changed his name to Kwame Toure to honor two of them. 

In his self-imposed exile he was a courtier to brutal racist tyrants. He was a friend of Ugandan butcher Idi Amin, and rationalized away the relationship by reminding himself that Amin was anti-American and anti-Zionist. Carmichael even accepted Ugandan citizenship.

He was also a friend of Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi. Libya came closest to accomplishing Carmichael’s vision of a socialist state, according to Joseph.

It is difficult to image an American civil rights leader going abroad to help hostile powers, but this is what Carmichael did.

Carmichael visited Communist Cuba, giving aid and comfort to America’s enemies abroad. While there he called Abraham Lincoln a racist and helped Cuba’s propaganda effort against the United States. 

After spending three days with Fidel Castro he told reporters that the conversations he had with him were the “most educational, most interesting, and most enlightening of my public life.”

Carmichael praised the world’s most prolific mass murderer, Mao Zedong, as “a great Chinese leader, the greatest Chinese leader there is.” He palled around with Communist Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh and called for the U.S. to be defeated in Vietnam.

Cincinnati-area Democrats made headlines last week when they embraced one of their own, serial vote fraud offender Melowese Richardson, after getting her released early from prison.

At a “voting rights” rally, National Action Network (NAN) president Al Sharpton and Bobby Hilton, president of NAN’s Cincinnati chapter, celebrated criminal overachiever Richardson who was sentenced to five years behind bars last July for multiple counts of fraudulently casting ballots. 

Richardson had bragged that she voted twice in the 2012 presidential election. She also voted illegally in three elections by using the names of others, including her sister who has been comatose for a decade.

Richardson may as well have been embraced by President Obama himself because Sharpton is virtually a roving ambassador for the Obama administration.

While the Trayvon Martin case was unfolding, at the April 2012 annual convention of Sharpton’s sleazy, race-baiting protest outfit, National Action Network, in the nation’s capital, members of Obama’s cabinet praised Sharpton effusively. The leftist group hug came as Sharpton’s group was engaged in a campaign of vilification and public relations vigilantism against George Zimmerman, who was ultimately acquitted in the fatal shooting of Martin.

Attorney General Eric Holder thanked Sharpton “for your partnership, your friendship, and your tireless efforts to speak out for the voiceless, to stand up for the powerless, and to shine a light on the problems we must solve, and the promises we must fulfill.”

In an incident ignored by the media, race-baiter extraordinaire Andrea Mitchell and other big-name journalists candidly exposed their bigotry and racial prejudices at a friendly forum in the nation's capital last year.


In an unusually candid conversation, mainstream media stars Mitchell, David Gregory, and Dana Milbank let loose in an orgy of Caucasian self-flagellation during a panel discussion titled, "Media: Race & Politics - The Impact of Race in Politics 2012," at the National Action Network's conference in Washington, D.C.  

The left-wing street thug group is headed by none other than Jew-hating homophobe and Obama ally Al Sharpton.


Now's a good time to bring this up as Mitchell, one of the biggest Obama supplicants on the boob tube, improbably receives the National Press Club's highest honor, the Fourth Estate Award, at a gala banquet tonight in the capital city.  Mitchell is receiving the prize even though it is designated for "a journalist who has made significant contributions to the field through a lifetime of excellence."


Mitchell is NBC's Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and host of MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports."


The panel discussion, which took place April 13, 2012, ought to be old news, but it didn't make the news at all: no media outlets got around to reporting it at the time.  Presumably they weren't interested because they agreed with the speakers and didn't consider their comments controversial.  Of course, April 13 last year was two days after George Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin.  (Martin's mourning parents made an appearance at the conference.)


The Sharpton-sponsored gabfest offers a window into why Mitchell's co-workers, the left-wing propagandists of NBC, doctored an audio recording of Zimmerman's call to emergency 9-1-1 dispatchers to make him look racist.


Mitchell and other panelists essentially laid out their race-baiting journalistic philosophy, giving away a chapter of the racial arsonist playbook.  These activists believe in outcome-based journalism, twisting and inventing facts, lying, and distorting in order to inject race as an issue where it doesn't belong.

Murder and Double Standards

Few Americans outside of Knoxville, Tenn., know about the case of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom, two young people who were kidnapped, savagely assaulted, raped, and murdered by people of a different race.

If Christian and Newsom had been black, and they had been raped, tortured, and murdered by a group of white people, the victims’ names would be painfully seared into the national psyche by the media’s saturation coverage of the atrocities and their aftermath.

The reason the case attracted so little media attention was because Christian and Newsom were white. All of their attackers were black. Somehow investigators concluded that racial hostility was not a factor in the crimes.

“If this wasn’t a hate crime, then I don’t know how you would define a hate crime,” said Newsom’s mother Mary. “It may have started out as a carjacking, but what it developed into was blacks hating whites. To do the things they did, they would have to hate them to do that.”

It’s worth looking back at this case now to see what we can learn from it. Two weeks after so-called white Hispanic George Zimmerman was found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin, a black teenager, there is still no end in sight to the self-righteous pontifications of leftists, politicians, race industry profiteers, and the mainstream media.

They all want us to have a national conversation on race. They’ve been pushing this notion for decades, even though race is discussed all the time everywhere in American society. Even though incidents of race-based discrimination have become almost as rare as four-leaf clovers in recent decades, we are constantly told minorities are little better off now than they were during the era of Jim Crow.

Violent crimes involving persons of different races or ethnic backgrounds tend to become national news only when the victim is a member of a minority group. This is because the radical left-wingers who serve as cultural gatekeepers don’t like to give oxygen to stories that challenge their preconceived, politically correct notions of how society works.

BREAKING: ACORN Housing is dead!

I have it on good authority that Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA) is dead. Until the devastating "pimp and pro" videos surfaced in 2009 that showed ACORN employees offering helpful advice on setting up a brothel for pedophiles, AHCOA's name was ACORN Housing Corp.

Despite apparently kicking the bucket some time ago without anyone in the media (myself included) noticing, ACORN Housing has been in the news recently. Earlier this month it was reported that the Obama administration funneled $446 million in taxpayer money to ACORN alumnus Joe McGavin, now a director at the Illinois Housing Development Authority. As Judicial Watch discovered, McGavin was “Chicago Operations Manager” at Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA) from November 2008 through January 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile.


Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan, a longtime ACORN ally from his days as New York mayor Michael Bloomberg's housing development commissioner, steered millions of dollars in taxpayer funds to his old friends at ACORN. Donovan is just one of several Obama cabinet members who did everything but bow down and grovel before Al Sharpton at the convention his group, National Action Network, held recently in Washington, D.C.

For years ACORN Housing was the largest branch of the corrupt ACORN empire of activism.

As I wrote in my book Subversion Inc.: How Obama's ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, ACORN Housing grew out of crime: squatting. It emerged from a 1982 squatting campaign in which ACORN built a squatters’ tent city behind the White House.


ACORN Housing was a cash cow for the ACORN network, providing significant funding for Saul Alinsky-inspired community organizing. Since 1997, ACORN Housing shelled out more than $5.1 million in fees or grants to other entities in the ACORN network. 

These intra-network transactions are the most troubling because out of all of ACORN’s affiliates, ACORN Housing was the most dependent on taxpayers for support and had a long history of abusing taxpayer funds. In 2008 alone, over 67 percent of gift and grants to ACORN Housing came from the federal government and Bank of America.

Community Organizers Mobilize to Save ObamaCare

The Obama administration has enlisted one of America’s leading economic terrorist groups to help defend and promote the president’s widely unpopular socialist healthcare scheme.

This development is not all that surprising because when liberal policies threaten to destroy the country Democrats typically think all they need to do is shout louder to make people understand how wonderful the hated policies really are. This ongoing collaboration with radical left-wing community organizers is also part of the Obama reelection campaign’s divide-and-conquer strategy: Inflame the base and attack opponents relentlessly to draw the public’s attention away from the worsening economy.

In a spectacle that ought to nauseate decent Americans, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius supplicated before Rev. Al Sharpton’s radical left-wing National Action Network (NAN) at its annual convention in the nation’s capital last week. She urged activists at the fancy corporate-sponsored confab to get into the trenches and fight for the misnamed Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) and to let their neighbors know that the law gives them access to mountains of taxpayer-funded freebies.

“In our country what we know is healthcare inequality [has been] one of the most persistent forms of injustice but over the past three years, as Rev. Sharpton reminded us, we have begun to turn the tide,” Sebelius said. “Now is not the time to turn back.”

Al Sharpton's group targets its next victims

The pressure group run by racial arsonist, con man, tax cheat, and absconding debtor Al Sharpton is lining up some fresh victims.

The Harlem-based National Action Network (NAN), a tax-exempt 501c4 advocacy group, runs a project called the Madison Avenue Initiative. A NAN press release explains its purpose:

"Our goal is to create more business alliances between the corporate and government public service sectors and the many viable black and latino-owned agencies and media.  We're seeing more opportunities for a greater share of the marketing mix," said Rev. Al Sharpton, founder of the National Action Network. "Another area of concern is hiring and training for black and latino marketing professionals and students.  Establishing a process that promotes access and consideration is critical to linking qualified candidates to opportunities."
Since March, Sharpton and Madison Avenue Initiative director Munson Steed have initiated communication with corporate and government executives to discuss increased recruitment and engagement.
"We're finding that corporate CEOs are open to discussing ways to engage more of our agencies, media and professionals to help them meet their business goals," said Steed.  "We're devoting 2011 to opening more doors and creating more synergy that will be mutually beneficial for all parties." So NAN, an ACORN wannabe group, has "initiated communication with corporate and government executives," eh?

Was that communication by means of a bullhorn or was it through a threatening letter? Maybe a brick with a note tied to it?

America needs to know that ACORN is restructuring in time to help re-elect President Obama in 2012. Obama used to work for ACORN and represented the group in court as its lawyer. These radical leftists who use the brutal, in-your-face, pressure tactics of Saul Alinsky want to destroy America as we know it and will use any means to do it.

Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-Crazytown)

I have long maintained that the District of Columbia's nonvoting delegate in the House of Representatives, Eleanor Holmes Norton, is a few fries short of a Happy Meal. She's buddies with racist agitator Al Sharpton and has long been a member of the kooky (and misnamed) Congressional Progressive Caucus, which is tied to America's largest Marxist group, Democratic Socialists of America.

Yet more proof has surfaced.

The Hill is reporting Del. Norton is very unhappy about the congressional fight over the budget, which has the effect of holding up the District's budget. “District residents are being treated as colonists of the Congress of the United States," Norton said. "We are absolutely outraged. This is the functional equivalent of bombing innocent civilians."

Norton continued blathering on:

"We've sustained attack after attack as the Republicans invade our right to govern ourselves," Norton said, adding she is not confident lawmakers will reach a deal.
"I'm not confident. But if they don't get a deal done, if these Republicans insist that if they don't get the whole pie, they'll take the whole country down with them, then we have got to make them pay the price."

Of course District of Columbia residents have no constitutional right to govern themselves. The District is subject to the will of Congress. If Norton doesn't like this arrangement she should campaign for a constitutional amendment to give the District true self-government.
