ObamaCare for Illegals

The Obama administration and a group run by senior Obama White House veterans are encouraging illegal aliens to enroll in Obamacare at Mexico’s consulates across the United States.

Apparently it’s not enough for President Obama to redistribute the wealth of Americans to other Americans. Now he wants to redistribute the wealth of Americans to the Third World.

American taxpayers will undoubtedly foot the bill for these illegal immigrants who enroll in Obamacare.

This enrollment free-for-all appears to be but one prong of President Obama’s program to undermine America’s market-based system of governance by overwhelming it. This subversive approach is called the Cloward-Piven Strategy, named after its creators, Marxist academic-activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.

Their method for hastening the fall of capitalism called for overloading the government with impossible demands in order to generate social chaos and economic collapse, which would then clear the way for socialist revolution, as I wrote in my book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers. Although the strategy was designed for the so-called welfare rights movement, there is no reason why it can’t be applied to other government endeavors.

Which brings us to a disturbing admission by a community organizer who is pushing illegal immigrants to jump on the Obamacare free-taxpayer-supported-healthcare bandwagon.

“Whether they’re Mexican nationals or whether they’re United States citizens or whether they’re in transition – and if they’re there it is our responsibility within all of America to educate on the Affordable Care Act,” Enroll America field organizer Jose Medrano told Breitbart News.

The Mexican government’s consular office in Brownsville, Texas, hosted an Obamacare enrollment fair last week.

“The Mexican consulate is a very reliable source of information to the Latino community,” Medrano said. “And therefore when they host their events, yesterday being the health fair, there are several hundred people that show up.”

Although illegal aliens aren’t supposed to be getting government healthcare benefits or subsidized coverage under the Affordable Care Act, President Obama seemed to give these individuals the green light to get covered earlier this month. Obama said that the Healthcare.gov website would not be used to ascertain an individual’s immigration status.

Sebelius: Above the Law?

Top congressional watchdog Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) had to warn Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius this week that obstructing a congressional investigation is a federal crime.

Sadly, we have reached the point in America at which members of President Obama’s cabinet aren’t even squeamish anymore about flouting court orders and legally enforceable congressional directives because they feel secure in the expectation that they will never be held to account. These Democrats know that their misdeeds will not see the light of day because the Obama-worshipping media and opposition party lawmakers are either unduly, unprofessionally sympathetic to Obama’s agenda or are too afraid to confront the president out of fear of being tarred as a racist.

Lying and stonewalling have served the Obama administration well so far.

In June 2012, Eric Holder was held in criminal contempt of Congress by the House of Representatives in a 255-67 vote for refusing to turn over documents tied to the bungled Fast and Furious gun-running operation. That was the first time a U.S. attorney general had ever been held in criminal contempt by the House. Legal proceedings against Holder, arguably the most corrupt U.S. attorney general of all time, could be initiated after he leaves office. Impeachment and removal from office following a trial in the Senate are also possibilities that are now being discussed on Capitol Hill.

In light of Sebelius’s failure to cooperate with congressional investigators regarding obstruction allegations, Issa, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, felt it necessary to remind the Obama cabinet member that her refusal to produce documents demanded by lawmakers is punishable according to law.

The panel has been looking into the badly botched implementation of Obamacare as well as the persistent problems with the horrendously expensive, near-useless Healthcare.gov website that the nation’s uninsured are supposed to use to sign up for health insurance coverage. Issa has demanded documents and HHS hasn’t handed them over.

Specifically, Issa is calling into question legally dubious actions taken by the HHS. The department has allegedly been interfering with a congressional investigation by instructing various businesses to ignore information requests made by his committee.

Sometimes politics imitates life.

It turns out the pregnant, diabetic woman who nearly fainted in President Obama’s arms at the Obamacare damage-control press event Obama held this week, isn’t herself sold on Obamacare.

The experience of Californian Karmel Allison is a metaphor for the entire rollout of the healthcare exchanges. Failure after failure, glitch after glitch, and spin, spin, spin. Allison was part of the president’s embarrassing media event this week in which a few Americans who somehow managed to sign up for Obamacare online were paraded for the dupes of the mainstream media to swoon over.

Allison’s near-collapse was captured on live TV as she was suffering a dizzy spell. Allison isn’t sure if she will sign up for Obamacare but the Obama White House wheeled her out in public as an example of someone who needs Obamacare. According to the White House:

Karmel Allison was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was nine years old. She has stayed on the same insurance ever since, despite constantly rising costs, for fear she would not be able to find a plan that would cover her due to her pre-existing condition. Allison recently began researching her options on CoveredCA and has publically [sic] described her experience as finally feeling equal to others, including her young and healthy husband, when it comes to access to coverage.

Obamacare isn’t likely to help Allison who reportedly prefers her current coverage. She’s far from alone as Americans experience sticker shock as their health insurance premiums skyrocket — assuming they haven’t had their policies canceled outright.

Meanwhile, a Canadian company is taking the blame for the failed architecture of healthcare.gov, the federal Obamacare enrollment website. CGI Federal Inc., the primary contractor on the new website and a subsidiary of Montreal, Quebec-based CGI Inc., is in turn blaming the bunged up Oct. 1 launch of the site on a subcontractor.

President Obama’s use of the Internal Revenue Service to vex and harass his political opposition is yet more proof that he is far more interested in hunting down his domestic adversaries than Islamic terrorists.

Congressman Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) said revelations the Obama IRS singled out conservative groups for special scrutiny ought to “send a chill” up Americans’ spines.

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee told Fox News that the tax-collection agency’s recently revealed strong-arming of political organizations “is as dangerous a problem the government can have.”

“This is something that we cannot let stand. It needs to have a full investigation.”

News that President Obama has been playing Chicago-style Saul Alinsky hardball with political activists on the Right provides more fodder to Obama’s critics in Congress — some of whom are now taking a hard look at impeaching the president and removing him from office.

Some commentators draw parallels with President Richard Nixon, noting he came dangerously close to impeachment for unleashing the IRS on his enemies.
