President Obama's 16 Watergates (So Far)

It's always a thrill to get attacked by George Soros's character assassins at the slander shop called Media Matters for America.

At least I think today's post, President Obama's 16 Watergates (So Far), was intended as an attack.

Here's the relevant part of the post:

The Gibson Guitar Raid, The GM Bailout, And The NLRB/Boeing Dispute

In a 2013 column titled, "Obama Scandals vs. Watergate," FrontPageMag columnist Matthew Vadum posited, "Obama's serial acts of malfeasance have cost hundreds of lives while Nixon's caused no loss of life. Both attacked their political enemies using taxpayer resources and tried to rig the system to favor their side." Among the alleged offenses listed by Vadum:
Quite apart from the IRS, Benghazi, and AP scandals, Obama has a long record of abusing government power to harass those he perceives as political enemies and reward his allies. He lives and breathes corruption.
In 2011, he sent armed federal agents to raid Gibson Guitars in Memphis, Tenn., over specious environmental infractions. Obama's National Labor Relations Board targeted Boeing for daring to open a facility in right-to-work state South Carolina. Obama rigged the GM and Chrysler bankruptcy proceedings to unfairly enrich his friends in the United Auto Workers at the expense of higher-priority creditors such as bondholders and suppliers.

Paul Ingrassia vs. The Green Inquisition

My article from the Aug. 2, 2013 issue of FrontPage Magazine:

Paul Ingrassia vs. The Green Inquisition

By Matthew Vadum

As interest in the alleged warming of the planet wanes, the global warming inquisition is hoping to make an example of a heretical reporter whose only sin is healthy skepticism.

The enviro-Left is busy attempting to subject London-based Paul Ingrassia, an American journalist brought in by Reuters to beef up its worldwide news operation, to a digital auto-da-fé for insisting that the 2,800 journalists at the news agency at least try to provide fair and balanced accounts of the events of the day.

Ingrassia, by the way, won a Pulitzer Prize and a Gerald Loeb Award in 1993 for his news coverage of management turmoil at General Motors.

This newfound interest in objectivity at Reuters, where the word militant is still preferred over terrorist, appears to mean the agency is running fewer stories about climate change.

That’s fewer, not none. Reuters still diligently covers climate-related issues.

But that’s not good enough for those who embrace the increasingly shaky theory of anthropogenic global warming with religious zeal.

“It is just not responsible in our opinion to be cutting back on an issue that is having such a profound impact on every sector of the economy,” emoted Mindy Lubber, who runs the Ceres sustainable business network, which represents companies and investors worth more than $11 trillion in assets.

“This is a financial risk that needs to be looked at and addressed.”

Soros Opens the Spigot

My article from today's Front Page Magazine:

Soros Opens the Spigot

By Matthew Vadum

George Soros is once again putting his money where his mouth is.

The Left’s favorite Wall Street billionaire and a cohort of his radical confederates are promising to contribute as much as $100 million to help the Democratic Party win this November so it can lay the groundwork for the destruction of what’s left of American civil society.

News of the trust fund tidal wave comes after the Soros-funded Democracy Alliance opted to drown Democrats and President Obama’s re-election campaign in an ocean of cash this year. The ultra-secretive group, founded in 2005, is a financial clearinghouse that recommends to its wealthy members projects and groups that aspire to dismantle America as we know it, transforming the nation into a European-style socialist state. The group has directed untold hundreds of millions of dollars to left-of-center causes.

Media Matters's Favorite Donor: George Soros

With the ongoing implosion of filth factory Media Matters for America in the news, now would be a good time to revisit an article I wrote last year.

It's called "Citizen Soros: Manipulating the Media." You may read it in PDF form here or broken down into installments here: part one, part two, and part three.

More hate speech from Media Matters

The fascists at Media Matters for America (MMfA) never tire of their war on free speech. All views on the right are labeled by the George Soros-funded group as conservative misinformation, i.e. hate speech.

Now these cretins are trying to stir up xenophobic hatred towards News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Australia. It's the same kind of tactic they routinely accuse conservatives of.

An email just went out from MMfA with the subject line, "Not in America, Mr. Murdoch."

It refers to the News Corp. hacking scandal way over in Britain. MMfA smells blood in the water and wants to use the scandal to shut down News Corp.'s most valuable property in America, Fox News.

Here's the email:

Dear Friend,

One of the great things about our country is that no matter how powerful and influential you are, you are not above the law.

No one knows that better today than Rupert Murdoch after the FBI launched an investigation into claims that reporters at News Corp. tried to hack into the phones of 9-11 victims' families.

If true, it's shameful, and the FBI has taken a good first step. But it's not enough. We need a thorough probe from Congress and the Justice Department to understand just how far the lies, illegal practices, and damages go.

DON'T LET RUPERT MURDOCH ESCAPE THE TRUTH!

SIGN OUR PETITION DEMANDING A FULL, PUBLIC INVESTIGATION.

We saw the British spend 6 years waiting to hold Murdoch accountable for these offenses. In those 6 years, there were 4,000 victims, including a terror victim, politicians, celebrities, and a 13-year old teenager who was tragically murdered. Why did it take so long? Because Murdoch is so powerful that people were afraid to stand up to him.

Not here. In the last 48 hours, over 100,000 people have signed a petition for thorough investigations and members of Congress from both sides of the aisle have stepped forward in agreement. We can't stop now.

If you'll stand with Media Matters, America's premier media monitoring organization, we won't let Rupert Murdoch escape the truth.

Let's get at the truth. Join in demanding a full investigation into whether News Corp.'s corrupt behavior extended to its U.S. holdings.

When the most powerful news organization in the world is rocked by a scandal this serious, all of us have a deep personal stake in exposing the truth and making sure those responsible pay the consequences for any wrongdoing.

You have my promise that Media Matters will stay on the case until we get to the truth.

Sincerely,

Matt Butler

Citizen Soros: Suppressing Conservative Ideas (Part 2 of 3) by Matthew Vadum

(Continued from Part 1)

Recap: Radical philanthropist George Soros gave $1 million to Media Matters for America, a well-funded slander shop that roots out “conservative misinformation.” It’s all part of his campaign to suppress conservative ideas that stand in the way of pushing America even farther to the left.

The left has been hyperventilating about Beck ever since he moved from CNN to Fox News in early 2009 and quickly became the Obama administration’s most vociferous high-profile critic. In particular, liberals could not abide Beck righteously fulminating against the shadowy Tides Foundation, a pass-through entity that allows wealthy individuals to give to radical causes anonymously.

Eric Boehlert, a so-called senior fellow at Media Matters, seized an opportunity when a deranged would-be shooter named Byron Williams jumped into the headlines last year. After a shootout with the California Highway Patrol, Williams said he had been on his way to shoot up the San Francisco offices of Tides in hopes of sparking a revolution. Williams was never actually much of a threat to Tides. When police pulled him over on a Sunday when the Tides offices were closed, the inept insurrectionist was drunk.
Media Matters argued that Beck had blood on his hands because Williams claimed Beck’s program was one of his favorite TV shows. Boehlert blogged that Beck “has routinely smeared the low-profile entity [i.e. Tides] for being staffed by ‘thugs’ and ‘bullies’ and involved in ‘the nasty of the nastiest,’ like indoctrinating schoolchildren and creating a ‘mass organization to seize power.’” Williams “wasn’t able to open fire inside the offices of the Tides Foundation, an organization ‘nobody knew’ about until Glenn Beck started targeting it.”
Aside from the rhetorical flourishes, Beck had provided a more or less accurate picture of the Tides Foundation, its sister groups, and many of its grant recipients.
As Trevor Loudon wrote in the October 2010 Foundation Watch, “The Tides Foundation and Tides Center are the radical left’s best kept secret. Together they provide tens of millions of dollars annually to some of the most extreme, destructive charities in America. Their money has gone to an assortment of questionable groups including ACORN, Media Matters for America, and the Center for Constitutional Rights.” (The Center was profiled in the September 2006 Organization Trends.)

A Preemptive Smear by George Soros's Media Lapdogs

My new book Subversion Inc. is already being smeared by the George Soros-funded media watchdog lapdog, Media Matters for America. (See Saul Alinsky's 5th rule of power tactics: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”)

Oliver Willis attacks the book via Twitter by disparaging the publisher, WND Books, instead of dealing with the book itself (which he hasn't read). Here is Willis's tweet:

Just wait till the folks at Media Matters see what's in the book! They're going to be burning the midnight oil futilely working to disprove all the damning evidence I've compiled.

Buy the book Subversion Inc.: How Obama's ACORN Red Shirts Are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, which comes out tomorrow. Pre-order it now! If you'd like an autographed copy, order it directly from WND Books here.

American Hero and Badass for Liberty Glenn Beck to End Fox TV Show

(originally posted at NewsReal)

The man who ignited grassroots opposition to the hideously un-American Big Government policies of President Barack Obama when virtually no one else cared will end his highly rated show on Fox News Channel in December. Glenn Beck and Fox News Channel announced Wednesday they had agreed to let their contract run out. “Glenn intends to transition off his daily program, the third highest rated in all of cable news, later this year,” they said in a joint release.

America owes a debt of gratitude to Glenn Beck. Whatever his foibles, in the dark days of early 2009 as patriotic Americans began to realize that America was (and still is, for that matter) being transformed into a socialist state by the nation’s Community Organizer-in-Chief, Beck was there, exposing and harassing Obama and his cadre of radicals. (Note: Rick Santelli of CNBC also played a big role in fighting Obama but it was Beck who sold the idea to the viewing masses and fomented a glorious rebirth of patriotism.)

I am personally thankful for Beck for giving me the opportunity to appear on his show multiple times (see above photo) to discuss my research into ACORN, the Cloward-Piven Strategy, and the Tides Foundation. Beck even let me help him design one of his famous tree diagrams.

Beck, it’s also worth noting, is a secret badass. Although you can’t tell it from the above picture, the white dots on his tie are winged biker-style death’s heads. (I blew the image up from another photo taken a few seconds later and posted it below.) Maybe after a Jean Paul Gaultier tie featuring tiny stylized dollar signs woven in black and red silk that I used to wear, it was the coolest necktie I’ve ever seen.

It is entirely fitting for a trailblazer like Beck: He’s a badass for liberty. He lives his life by the noble credo of Epictetus: “If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid.” Or as skiers say, If you’re not falling down you’re not trying hard enough. Sometimes people have to risk scorn for the greater good and Beck has done it over and over again, sometimes losing, but usually winning.
