President Obama is considering nominating his far-left labor secretary to replace outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder, according to media reports.

Illegal alien enabler Thomas Perez would not be an improvement over Holder, the scandal-plagued left-wing attorney general who has taken the Department of Justice to new lows of corruption and lawlessness. 

Perez, who previously ran the DoJ’s civil rights branch, would likely be a Holder clone or worse.

“Perez fits all the qualities that Eric Holder had: A lack of ethics, disrespect for the rule of the law, and placing ideology first,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

“Tom Perez was one of the reasons we need civil rights investigation at the civil rights division,” Fitton said. “He was the point man in terms of enforcing law in [a] racially biased manner.”

Perez hasn’t won friends outside of his radical circles during his time at the Labor Department.

“Perez has been charged with enforcing existing labor law. Unfortunately, he’s chosen only to enforce the law when it applies to employers, not to the Administration’s union allies,” according to Ryan Williams of Worker Center Watch. He continued:

While the politicization of federal agencies is running critique of the Obama administration, the Justice Department is the one agency that should remain above the fray of politics, and Perez has demonstrated that he is incapable of serving as a neutral arbiter of the law.

Patrick Semmens of the National Right to Work Foundation, said that he didn’t think Perez was capable of enforcing the law impartially.

“Tom Perez as Attorney General is a scary thought,” Semmens said. “If Perez is allowed to operate the Department of Justice the way he has run the Labor Department, he will consistently put the priorities of the president’s key political backers ahead of the rights of regular Americans.”

Mumia Abu-Jamal’s Lawyer to Obama’s Justice Department

President Obama’s nominee to be the nation’s top civil rights enforcer is a race-obsessed lawyer who tried to permanently free unrepentant cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.

This radical so-called civil rights lawyer, Debo Adegbile, was until fairly recently head of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Like Attorney General Eric Holder, Adegbile is a staunch affirmative action supporter and doesn’t appear to believe that white Americans are entitled to civil rights protection. Currently he serves as senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, which is chaired by Sen. Pat Leahy (D-Vt.).

It’s yet another nomination to high federal office in which Obama isn’t even trying to conceal his anti-American radicalism. “Obama’s nominee process involves finding the worst person on earth for that job or any job,” as Daniel Greenfield observes. “It’s a process that never fails.”

Interestingly, Adegbile has a personal story that’s similar to Obama’s. The DoJ nominee was raised by a single mother in the absence of her son’s Nigerian father, reports the Washington Post.

Under Adegbile’s leadership, NAACP LDF acted in several legal proceedings for the black leftist folk hero who has parlayed his 1981 murder of white Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner into a career behind bars. Born Wesley Cook, the former Black Panther often referred to affectionately in radical circles as simply “Mumia,” enjoys celebrity status on the Left and is a frequent guest speaker at college commencement ceremonies.

“The question of Abu-Jamal’s guilt is not a close call,” according to John Fund. “Two hospital workers testified that Abu-Jamal confessed to them: ‘I shot the motherf***er, and I hope the motherf***er dies.’ His brother, William, has never testified to his brother’s innocence even though he was at the scene of the crime. Abu-Jamal himself chose not to testify in his own defense.”

As Faulkner tried to arrest Abu-Jamal’s brother during a traffic stop, Abu-Jamal shot the policeman once in the back and then stood over him and shot him four more times at close range, once directly in the face. Multiple eyewitnesses were present during the crime.

Adegbile’s “nomination is an in-the-face appointment,” according to J. Christian Adams, a Justice Department whistle-blower who chronicled the vicious racial politics of the DoJ’s Civil Rights Division in his bestselling book,Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.

Radical community organizers and illegal aliens are stepping up their in-your-face campaign against the nation’s immigration laws by illegally using physical force to prevent federal officials from carrying out lawful deportations.

Given that illegal immigrants got here by breaking the law, their continued lawbreaking activity shouldn’t be all that surprising. It certainly doesn’t bother President Obama, who won’t do anything about these abusive protests because he agrees with the activists.

In recent weeks activists across America complaining about high deportation rates have used chains and pipes to bind themselves to the tires of buses that transport illegals slated for deportation to court. They have also snarled traffic on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and blocked the entrance to a federal detention center.

In Tucson, Ariz., they surrounded local police who stopped two illegals. A hundred police officers were dispatched to deal with protests at two sites in the city.

More unlawful activity is coming, they say.

A defiant Marisa Franco, campaign organizer for the National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON), is helping to lead the Left’s assault on the rule of law. “The people will take power back into their own hands and set a true example of leadership that the Beltway will have to follow.”

Activists are taking the law into their own hands “out of frustration and impatience,” said Franco. “Immigrant communities who are losing 1,100 loved ones every day to deportation cannot wait for Congress to end its political games or for the president to rediscover his moral compass,” she whined.

NDLON is one of the worst of the illegal alien groups. NDLON relentlessly hounds cities to establish “day laborer centers” to help illegals find work and fights loitering laws that make finding work more difficult. It works with labor organizations such as AFL-CIO to unionize day laborers and pushes lawmakers to apply U.S. labor law to illegal immigrants. By fighting for the so-called rights of illegal immigrants, NDLON and its ilk make it easier for illegals to stay stateside, which in turn encourages others to enter the U.S. illegally.

Nowadays NDLON has reason to be optimistic. One of its spiritual leaders, left-wing extremist Thomas Perez, is now U.S. secretary of labor. Perez was previously president of Casa de Maryland, a notorious advocacy group for illegal aliens funded by America-hating philanthropist George Soros and the dead communist leader of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez.

President Obama intends to nominate in-your-face radical lawyer Thomas Perez as his next Secretary of Labor, according to media reports.

Now an assistant attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice, Perez is a former top aide to the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) and possibly a perjurer, which makes him a perfect fit for the ethically-challenged Obama cabinet.

If confirmed, Perez would replace Hilda Solis, a former Democratic congresswoman from Los Angeles who resigned in January.

Solis treated the Labor Department as an arm of the labor movement and business as an enemy, not a partner in creating jobs. She also discarded Bush era transparency rules that fought union corruption.

What would Perez be like as labor secretary?

He told AFL-CIO leaders that if Martin Luther King were alive today, “He would join with you … in calling for passage of the Employee Free Choice Act” — legislation that would drastically tilt workplace elections in favor of labor. He said the “civil rights movement and the labor movement are … essentially the same.”

At DOJ, Perez led the Obama administration’s assault on voter ID laws last year.  As John Fund and Hans von Spakovsky report in Who’s Counting, as a member of the Montgomery County, MD Council in 2003 he also tried to force governments to accept fraud-prone matricula consular ID cards issued by Mexican consular offices.

Perez was also president of Casa de Maryland, a notorious advocacy group for illegal aliens funded by George Soros and the soon-to-be laminated Hugo Chavez. (Big donors to Casa de Maryland include Soros’s Foundation to Promote Open Society –$270,000 since 2010– National Council of La Raza –$70,000 since 2004– and two government-supported entities, Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp. –$40,000 since 2011– and Maryland Legal Services Corp. –$630,203 since 2005.)

Perez apparently favors Saudi-style anti-blasphemy laws. In Saudi Arabia and other Islamic countries offenders are condemned to death merely for insulting Islam.
