A Preemptive Smear by George Soros's Media Lapdogs

My new book Subversion Inc. is already being smeared by the George Soros-funded media watchdog lapdog, Media Matters for America. (See Saul Alinsky's 5th rule of power tactics: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”)

Oliver Willis attacks the book via Twitter by disparaging the publisher, WND Books, instead of dealing with the book itself (which he hasn't read). Here is Willis's tweet:

Just wait till the folks at Media Matters see what's in the book! They're going to be burning the midnight oil futilely working to disprove all the damning evidence I've compiled.

Richard Kim of the Nation magazine: Clueless, useful idiot, or coverup leader?

ACORN was founded in part to carry out a subversive plot to radically transform America into a socialist nation.

Small-c communist professors Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven wrote an article called "The Weight of the Poor" that was published in the far-left magazine the Nation in 1966. The plan was to overwhelm welfare rolls to bring the system to collapse.

Nowadays Piven claims she didn't mean what she wrote, insisting it was just a modest essay published in an obscure magazine. She never mentions that the article was so popular the magazine printed an extra 30,000 copies, an unprecedented number, and that it gave a major boost to the so-called welfare rights movement.

Nation magazine senior editor Richard Kim offered an incredibly lame defense of Cloward and Piven's infamous blueprint for radical sociopolitical transformation and treated his readers as morons.

Cloward and Piven couldn’t possibly have wanted to overthrow capitalism because “the words ‘capital’ and ‘capitalism’ never appear in their article,” argued Kim, thinking his readers were as dumb as a bag of hammers.

Liberals generally think Americans are stupid and need to be told what to do but it's another thing altogether for a left-wing magazine to regard its own audience as imbeciles.

Barack Obama's favorite advocacy organization, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), is part political group, part crime syndicate and part urban terrorist organization, according to a stunning new book, "Subversion Inc.," by award-winning investigative journalist Matthew Vadum.

Vadum [...] has assembled the information from nearly three years of research and hundreds of interviews, in the project.

He documents how ACORN's sinister motives, however, never stopped Obama from supporting the organization. Obama organized its voter drives, represented it in court, trained its activists, and mentored its leaders. In fact, ACORN was so important to Obama that during the 2008 presidential campaign he felt compelled to reassure ACORN officials that he was still a steadfast ally.

"I've been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drives in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work," he said at the time. [...]

Obama's Speed of Light Incompetence on the Aftermath of OBL's Death

By the time you read this blog post, it will be hopelessly out of date. That's how fast the story of the Obama administration's appallingly incompetent handling of the aftermath of the Osama bin Laden assassination is moving. In all my years observing American politics I've never seen anything even remotely like this. It's not just a train wreck viewed in slow motion: it's a midair collision of all the airplanes used in "The Aviator."

After offering qualified praise for the president earlier this week, I haven't been keeping notes on every aspect of the saga so I may have some of this wrong but from what I remember it has gone something like this:

Sunday night the story was OBL had been killed by a U.S. cruise missile a week before. Then he was killed by U.S. forces after a vicious firefight. Then he was killed earlier in the day on Sunday after resisting soldiers. Then he offered no resistance and was shot point blank on sight. Then he used his wife as a human shield to save himself. Then she was killed. Then she was merely shot in the leg. Then he used his daughter as a human shield to save himself. Then he didn't use his daughter but she was present and saw her father dispatched by the U.S. military. Then, curiously, reporters were incurious about what happened to the wife and/or daughter who may have died or been rushed to hospital or perhaps carried off by UFOs. Then we heard OBL was taken alive at first but later killed by soldiers. Then rumors started circulating that he was never killed at all. This made some speculate that he was being held in a secret CIA prison somewhere. Then we heard that somewhere a spokesman for al-Qaeda acknowledged OBL's death, so it didn't matter if a death photo could be produced. Then congressmen and senators said we didn't need to see the photo because they had seen it and it was gross. Then we learned the photo they saw was a fake.

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is part political group, part crime syndicate, part terrorist organization. Much of the time it operates outside the legitimate political process, waging war against the framework of society. ACORN is in the business of subverting the American system, so what Americans saw on the undercover “pimp and pro” videos released in 2009 was just another day at the office at ACORN.

But the darkest side of ACORN has remained largely unexplored – until now

ACORN, which until it filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last year was America’s largest poor people’s group, was founded on political violence and intimidation.

ACORN grew out of another notorious group called the National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO). NWRO was founded in 1966—the same year Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven’s seminal article “The Weight of the Poor” was published in the Nation magazine. The so-called Cloward-Piven Strategy called for activists to double America’s welfare rolls in order to destabilize the American system of government. Placing impossible demands on states and localities would force them to ask Congress for a guaranteed annual income scheme and thereby set in motion the transformation of America into a socialist state.

NWRO grew out of the organizing efforts of Rules for Radicals author Saul Alinsky and other veteran radical agitators. Cloward and Piven also helped bring NWRO into the world. They acknowledge they “were intimately involved in the affairs of NWRO: we participated in discussions of strategy, in fund-raising efforts, and in demonstrations.” [...]
