Romney Heckler a Paid Soros Operative

My article from the May 2 edition of Front Page Magazine:

Romney Heckler a Paid Soros Operative

By Matthew Vadum

A potty-mouthed employee of a George Soros-funded group tried to shut down a Mitt Romney press conference outside a New York City firehouse yesterday.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee appeared alongside former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to respond to a widely publicized taunt hurled at him by the Community Organizer-in-Chief. Without benefit of a time machine, President Obama, whose extended victory dance over killing 9/11 terrorist Osama bin Laden has been receiving saturation media coverage in recent days, preposterously claimed that Romney might not have tried to dispatch the al-Qaeda leader if given the chance.

In an incident captured on news video, the female heckler screamed, “Mitt Romney, you’re a racist!” almost a dozen times, wrecking the public relations optics of the event that was choreographed to highlight Romney’s foreign policy acumen.

It is axiomatic that when left-wingers are desperately worried about losing power they pull out their oldest and most reliable canard. Liberals and their more radical brethren scream “racist!” over and over and over again as if sheer repetition of the lie will somehow make it true.

Economic Terrorism’s Big Comeback

(originally published at Front Page Magazine, a publication of David Horowitz Freedom Center)

Economic Terrorism’s Big Comeback

By Matthew Vadum

Radical activist groups associated with President Barack Obama have launched a campaign of economic terrorism and sabotage – possibly with his blessing. Mortgage and student loan strikes, crippling bank boycotts, intimidation, and who knows what else are all on the agenda.

The idea of leftists using terrorism to achieve political objectives isn’t new. Leon Trotsky supported the use of terrorism to advance so-called social justice. Decades before an ice-axe found its way into his skull, Trotsky argued in Dictatorship vs. Democracy that Communists who reject “terrorism in principle” weren’t bona fide Communists. Years before that, he justified “proletarian terrorism” because the capitalist state itself, with its “entire state apparatus with its laws, police, and army is nothing but an apparatus for capitalist terror.” In the upside-down world of Marxists, radical activists’ frightening, violent, in-your-face tactics are thought of as merely fighting fire with fire.

Economic Terrorism: Alinskyites, union goons plan downfall of capitalism

Yes, they actually said that according to an audio clip featured at The Blaze.

I had this story a year ago.

George Goehl of ACORN wannabe group National People's Action foreshadowed this economic sabotage at a Washington confab last summer put together by the leftist Campaign for America's Future.

I wrote this in the American Spectator:

As Congress considers the Democrats' unprecedented legislative assault on Wall Street, radical leftists say the bad economy gives them new opportunities to push America even farther down the road to socialism.
"The banking crisis is the next big thing," said George Goehl, executive director of the Chicago-based group National People's Action.
National People's Action has been participating in a nationwide campaign with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Jobs With Justice, Americans for Financial Reform, and other groups called the "Showdown in America," which consists largely of loud street protests. NPA and SEIU have also been using angry mobs to invade banks and terrorize bank executives in their homes.
"The banking crisis is the way to build a big economic justice movement in this country," Goehl said during a panel discussion this week at the left-wing "America's Future Now" conference in Washington, D.C. The confab was hosted by the Campaign for America's Future and its sister organization, the Institute for America's Future.
"People are questioning capitalism. People are asking, Will this economy ever work for me or will it work for my kids? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as progressives to engage millions of Americans in a big conversation around serious economic restructuring, not around eking out some victories around the margins, not about making life a little less worse for people, but about big time transformative change."
If you build a platform for revolution, they will come, Goehl said.
"If we create a space for people to come out they want to come out. People are ready to move to the streets, some because they're angry, some because they want justice right now, and some because they're tired of hearing about the tea party coming out, and we as leaders in the progressive movement -- we're failing if we don't create that room for people." For this we have to thank small-c communists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. I explain the Cloward-Piven Strategy in detail in my upcoming book Subversion Inc.
