Occupy at One Year

My article from the September 17, 2012, issue of Front Page Magazine:

Occupy at One Year

By Matthew Vadum

The violent anti-American radicals of Occupy Wall Street plan to celebrate the anniversary of their neo-communist movement today by shutting down the New York Stock Exchange and hitting dozens of corporate targets.

The anniversary comes days after an operative for the Anonymous computer hacker group was arrested for allegedly threatening a federal agent. Barrett Brown, a self-described spokesman for Anonymous, which is allied with the Occupy Wall Street movement, boasts that he carried out cyber-attacks against Visa and MasterCard.

These Bolshevik banditos plan to begin the day with occupying “Wall Street with non-violent civil disobedience and flood[ing] the area around it with a roving carnival of resistance,” according to adbusters.org. The group will “surround access to [the NYSE] with the People’s Wall sit-in” and then conduct “a swirl of mobile occupations of corporate lobbies and intersections.” Operation Latte Thunder will then “Storm Wall Street and demand it stop bankrolling climate change.”

As always the leaders of Occupy Wall Street are lying about non-violence. The violence is the whole point of the demonstrations. When he interviewed OWS protesters in lower Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park last year Democratic pollster Douglas Schoen discovered that 31 percent of the movement supported using “violence to advance their agenda.”

And as Arnold Ahlert writes there have been at least “6,990 documented arrests in 114 cities across the nation directly associated with the OWS movement.” Apologists for the movement, especially the mainstream media, treat all these antisocial behaviors as freak occurrences, as if the Occupiers themselves were victims of saboteurs and dirty tricksters. “[B]ut thousands of arrests in hundreds of cities, coupled with instances of anti-semitism, sexual assaults (including rape), vandalism, and even murder can hardly be attributed solely to ‘fringe’ or ‘rogue’ elements ‘hijacking’ an otherwise peaceful movement.”

The reason the movement exists “is to disrupt the normal course of everyday life at every opportunity and to turn ‘one percent’ of Americans into literal enemies of the nation,” Ahlert writes.

It is true that the Occupy Wall Street movement has petered out since it was launched on September 17, 2011, amidst photos of defaced ten-dollar bills showing Founding Father Alexander Hamilton with black hair and a Hitler mustache. Its stated goal at the time was to condemn “greed” and “profit over and above all else” and to undermine economic freedom.

That protest was originally promoted as a “US Day of Rage” named after the so-called Days of Rage that took place in Chicago in 1969. That tumultuous year, members of what was later to become known as the Weather Underground, the terrorist organization of Obama pals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, provoked four days of riots and demonstrations against “The System.” Leftists continue to insist that Occupy Wall Street was inspired largely by last year’s Arab Spring, a series of popular uprisings against authoritarian Middle Eastern governments that many mistook for a desire for democratic rule. To provide cover for his radical friends leftist pseudo-intellectual Cornel West refers to OWS as “a democratic awakening,” the same expression he used to describe Hugo Chavez’s brutal communist revolution in Venezuela. Leftists say it’s not true democracy unless they win.

Last year’s US Day of Rage was heavily promoted by the Vancouver, Canada-based Adbusters Media Foundation, the nonprofit behind the “anti-consumerist” magazine. The foundation is funded by organizations associated with George Soros’s Democracy Alliance, a radical billionaires’ club that wants to turn America into Greece. Soros is a convicted criminal who prefers Communist China’s government over America’s and who openly aspires to bring European-style socialism to the United States. He told Newsweek earlier this year that he was delighted with the violence and civil unrest percolating across the fruited plain. “In the crisis period, the impossible becomes possible,” he said, echoing Saul Alinsky’s adage that a good crisis is a terrible thing to waste. Since 2001 Adbusters has received $317,773 from the Soros-funded Tides Foundation and $176,500 from the Glaser Progress Foundation, which was created by Alliance member and RealNetworks founder Rob Glaser.

Occupy Wall Street was organized by various far-left organizations including a constellation of ACORN front groups, labor unions, and anarchist collectives, and hailed by President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, various Communist and neo-Nazi parties, and America’s enemies abroad. The movement came on the heels of what ACORN’s neo-communist founder Wade Rathke called an “anti-banking jihad,” an SEIU-led effort aimed at destabilizing the nation’s financial system. SEIU organizer Stephen Lerner promised to “bring down the stock market” through a campaign of disruption.

Despite being endorsed by left-wing politicians from coast to coast the movement never evolved into a major player in U.S. politics today — but it has nevertheless had a lasting impact on the American body politic.

Through endless repetition of the terms “the 99 percent” and “the one percent,” Americans have begun to view their society through a Marxist lens. They have absorbed this central Big Lie of Marxist thought through a kind of osmosis.

And now this Marxist meme, long banished to the academy and union halls, is everywhere. To the delight of radical socialists it is impossible to turn on conservative talk radio without hearing hosts explain issues using this false dichotomy of the one percent versus the 99 percent. To use the loaded language of the Left is to accept the Left’s premises.

Certainly there has long been vague talk of “the rich,” “the poor,” and “the middle class,” but Occupy Wall Street somehow managed to get Americans to see their society in Marxist terms, something more than a hundred years of Progressive agitation could not do. This in itself is a huge and unwelcome development because it allows the Left to define and set the parameters of political discourse. Instead of talking about cutting taxes and reducing government spending, now right-wingers get distracted arguing about make-believe issues like income inequality and social justice. Only time will tell if this meme will fade away eventually.

But there is still room for optimism. Occupy’s very success has laid the foundation for its own destruction.

The movement has provided a valuable service to the American public. Occupy Wall Street has been a yearlong, Obama administration-approved, media-saturated exercise in consciousness-raising.

It has helped to remind Americans just how dangerous, lawless, and out of touch the modern, Occupy-embracing Democratic Party is. The anti-American Occupy Wall Street movement has also helped to reinforce the message of the patriotic Tea Party movement which supports Americans’ unalienable rights, limited government, fiscal restraint, and the rule of law.

For this, Americans who love their country should be grateful to the rabble of Occupy Wall Street.

Radicals’ Plans for GOP Convention Not Dampened

My article from the August 28, 2012, issue of Front Page Magazine:

Radicals’ Plans for GOP Convention Not Dampened

By Matthew Vadum

Dangerous, violent, left-wing radicals don’t seem to be backing down from their plans to shut down the Republican national convention in Tampa Bay even as an increasingly dangerous, violent tropical storm bears down on Florida.

A protester has already been arrested at the convention for carrying a large machete strapped to his leg. Jason T. Wilson of Tallahassee was taken into custody while walking on the convention grounds. Police say Wilson refused to stop when asked and was physically restrained when he resisted arrest.

The Left is pursuing a two-pronged strategy aimed at preventing Republicans from getting their message to the American people. Both the protesters, who are drawn largely from the ranks of the violent communist-anarchist Occupy Wall Street movement, and President Obama’s reelection campaign are now planning to interfere with the Republican convention. The former will use physical force; the latter, the media.

Protest leaders and hackers say the mischief and mayhem they’ve planned will proceed even though Republican organizers have compressed the convention schedule because of the storm. Activists and union members shipped in to Florida plan not only to disrupt the GOP mass meeting at which former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will be formally nominated for the presidency but also to shut down emergency services in Tampa.

Brandon Darby, a former community organizer, says anarchist Lisa Fithian, who led the union goons and anarchists who rioted during the 1999 World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle, is at the forefront of the current anti-Republican protests.

Led by Fithian, demonstrators intend to throw bricks through windows, slash tires on buses, and throw bleach and urine at delegates, said Darby, an ex-leftist despised by radicals for undermining a left-wing conspiracy to bomb the 2008 Republican national convention in Minnesota.

All of this is really happening, Darby said. “They’re trying to shut down the communications structure for the city for law enforcement and emergency medical personnel.”

With these leftists, “[i]t’s not like a bunch of people are going to show up and talk on their cell phones. They have some massive computer equipment and their goal is to shut us down.”

Senior Democrats intend to complement the activists’ efforts.

Although both the Republican and Democratic parties have long refrained from trying to grab the media spotlight while the other is conducting its nominating convention, this coming week President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and an army of Democratic surrogates are scheduled to visit the Sunshine State in order to undermine Republicans’ message. While high-profile Democrats blanket the state, the Obama administration’s OWS allies will do their best to harass and interfere with Republican delegates attempting to do their civic duty.

Remember that OWS activists –unlike Tea Party activists— have committed rape, robbery, assault, arson, and countless other crimes. When they say they’re going to cause trouble, they mean it.
Even worse, Occupy Wall Street bears a seal of approval from President Obama, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who have never condemned the Occupiers for their misdeeds. The three political leaders have done nothing but praise the radical activists who want to destroy America.

Of course the OWS activists do not believe in free speech for those who disagree with them so it makes perfect sense that they want to prevent a documentary called Occupy Unmaskedfrom airing at the GOP convention.

After boasting that they had commandeered various relevant Internet domain names and “every bit of social media associated” with the documentary, the OWS-linked hackers known as Anonymous threatened Breitbart.com-affiliated bloggers Brandon Darby and Lee Stranahan by name. During the convention Anonymous has promised to “be busy legitimately raping” Darby and Stranhan, who appear in the film directed by Stephen K. Bannon.

The rape taunt is a mocking reference to Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin’s now-infamous “legitimate rape” uber-gaffe that desperate left-wingers are now claiming inadvertently revealed Republicans’ supposed misogyny. And as Breitbart.com editor Alexander Marlow warns, “given Occupy’s record on rapes it would be a mistake not to take the threats seriously.”

Protest leaders have also been putting a lot of effort into bullying Tampa authorities.

“Their ACLU lawyers have been ‘in negotiation’ with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and the city council for several months, demanding permits, demanding special restraints on the police, and threatening lawsuits if they don’t get their way,” Florida-based Tina Trent reports at Accuracy In Media.

The radicals literally have a George Soros-funded playbook explaining how to frustrate police efforts to maintain order during anti-Republican demonstrations, Trent adds. The report, “Rights and Wrongs at the RNC,” explains how leftists can use financial and legal pressure to intimidate cities into allowing protesters to run wild.

“Municipalities that dare to host economic summits or try to rein in illegal Occupy encampments find themselves, and especially their police, virtually held hostage by the media strategies and legal actions detailed throughout the manual,” she writes.

We’ll see soon enough what impact the radicals will have on the Republican convention and the presidential contest.

‘Nonviolence’ Explodes in Chicago

My article from today's Front Page Magazine:

'Nonviolence' Explodes in Chicago

By Matthew Vadum

The NATO summit in Chicago has produced an impressive list of arrests for demonstrations officially billed by the Left and the compliant mainstream media as “nonviolent.” Some of the alleged pacifists conspired to maim and kill Americans.

The wave of violence unleashed by the Obama-endorsed Occupy Wall Street movement and other elements of the activist Left in recent weeks is part of what left-wingers are calling the “99% Spring.” The actions, which are being cheered on by small-c communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, are designed to foment civil unrest and prompt change.

Occupy Wall Street and the satellite protests it has spawned in cities across the U.S. and around the world have been spectacularly violent. Radical activists are responsible for hundreds of serious crimes, including murder, assault, gang rape, arson, rioting, and robbery.

Around the NATO summit at least four police officers were assaulted by radical activists and around 45 protesters were arrested by police on Sunday. The city of Chicago’s official website may have been targeted by computer hackers on Sunday when it went offline for part of the day. City and federal authorities are investigating.

Former anarchist activist Brandon Darby warned of the approaching violence weeks ago. In an exclusive interview Sunday, Darby said, “I told you so.”

“When an entire movement does nothing but convince young people that America is evil and must be stopped by any means necessary it makes it inevitable that some of them will take actions like the ones we’ve seen over and over again involving police officers, conservatives, and Molotov cocktails,” said Darby.

Darby has been targeted by the Left ever since it was publicly revealed that the former community organizer saved the lives of innocent Americans by thwarting the planned fire-bombing of the 2008 Republican Convention by two anarchists. (The plot was revealed in my book Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers.)

Chicago Braces for Leftist Violence and Mayhem

My article from the May 18 edition of Front Page Magazine:

Chicago Braces for Leftist Violence and Mayhem

By Matthew Vadum

The Left’s violent attacks on the yet-to-begin NATO summit in Chicago are already underway as anti-American activists hope to recreate the mayhem that accompanied the 1999 WTO protests in Seattle. Radicals clamoring for “change” have said for months that the actions in Chicago are only the beginning.

During a heart-warming “F*** the Police” protest action Tuesday night in Chicagoland, mask-wearing demonstrators clad in black clothing carried communist and anarchist flags in hopes of winning the hearts and minds of Middle America. One area resident described the raucous march as “scary.”

Leftists and union goons terrorized entire neighborhoods, creating makeshift barricades, dragging dumpsters into the streets, and upending garbage cans. One anarchist apparently beat up an 80-year-old man.

Management at a downtown housing complex in Chicago is warning residents to flee to safety before Occupy demonstrators switch into full rage-against-the-machine mode. The Library Tower Condominium Association sent out a letter indicating that management “is STRONGLY recommending that all residents find places to stay during the conference from May 18 through May 21.”

When the nations of the G8 and NATO begin meeting this weekend, the Occupy Wall Street movement and its allies plan to press their demands. Occupiers want an economy-killing “Robin Hood Tax” to be imposed on financial transactions, an international agreement to curb carbon emissions, and “a nuclear-free Middle East” (translation: the unilateral nuclear disarmament of Israel), according to Adbusters, Kalle Lasn’s left-wing magazine that helped to lay the groundwork for the Occupy movement. Chicago demonstrators won’t be able to protest the G8 summit unless they’re willing to do a lengthy weekend commute. That conference was supposed to take place alongside the NATO conference in Chicago but was relocated to Camp David in Maryland.

The steadily increasing levels of violence from Occupiers may be related to anarchists’ apparently growing influence in the movement. “Anarchist occupiers are energized and their visceral tactics are attracting members,” according to Adbusters, which praised the brutal techniques anarchists used during May Day actions. “Now, the power of the Black Bloc is growing within Occupy and pushing the movement in unexpected directions.”

Useful idiot Aaron Hughes, an organizer with Iraq Veterans Against the War, will also play a role in the protests this weekend. He said he intends to lead a cohort of veterans to the NATO summit. Hughes and other misguided souls plan to return –John Kerry-style— the service medals they earned in Iraq.

Meanwhile, President Obama’s favorite labor organization, the Service Employees International Union, is subsidizing demonstrators by providing Washington, D.C. office space worth $4,000 a month to the Occupy Wall Street movement. Interviewed in that space one Occupy activist ill-suited for abstract thought, Johnny Mandracchia, shared his unusual definition of the word violence with Katie Pavlich of Townhall magazine. It is not violence to smash the windows of a Starbucks coffee shop, said the self-described anarcho-syndicalist, “because Starbucks isn’t a private business – it’s a corporation.” Such acts, including the burning of police cars, are merely examples of vandalism, he said.

While Professor Mandracchia was imparting his novel ideas about law, Obama pals Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were busy helping the anti-American activists who hope to violently disrupt the approaching NATO summit in Chicago.

Ayers and Dohrn are the close personal friends of Obama who launched his political career with a fundraiser in their Chicago living room when he ran for the Illinois state senate. The small-c communist confab for cash took place several years after the conclusion of a lengthy firebombing campaign conducted by the now-married couple’s terrorist group, the Weather Underground. Ayers and Dohrn escaped justice on a legal technicality after law enforcement personnel failed to cross every “t” and dot every “i” in their quest for evidence against the couple.

Some Obama critics say Ayers may have even written Obama’s well received first autobiography, Dreams From My Father.

Freshly returned from a sojourn in Marxist fantasy land, Dohrn seemed to echo the late radical lawyer William Kunstler’s infamous observation that the police constitute “an army of occupation” in American cities.

Although the security dragnet enveloping Chicagoland is prompted by a well-founded belief that Occupy-associated groups and fanatics like Dohrn pose a threat to public safety, the wrinkly terrorist bomber blames NATO for the creation of “restricted zones” and “the shutdown of universities and colleges, the shutdown of businesses, the closings of the major museums here, it is being treated as really a practice military zone.”

What Dohrn really means is that the so-called right of unhinged nihilistic protesters to run wild in the streets is more important than the right of Chicago’s citizens to defend their persons and property from attack.

Predictably, for propaganda purposes Dohrn deliberately misdescribed the NATO conference as “war games,” evoking images of destroyers on Lake Michigan shelling the Sears Tower.

Dohrn told fellow travelers such as host Amy Goodman at “Democracy Now!” that instead of getting together in Chicago representatives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization should be meeting “in an underground bunker or on a remote island.” For her part, Goodman euphemistically described Dorhn and Ayers merely as “two veteran activists.”

Zoe Sigman of Occupy Chicago amplified Dohrn’s points at a press conference.

Sigman called NATO leaders “warmongers” invading Chicago and “the military arm of the 1 percent.” The “warnings of violence downtown echo the reality of police repression” that some Chicagoans face in their everyday lives. “NATO,” Sigman said, “is a symptom of the global system of violence and oppression at the hands of the 1 percent.”

Of course Sigman did not discuss Occupy Wall Street and the spectacularly violent satellite protests it has spawned in cities across the U.S. and around the world. Radical activists are responsible for hundreds of crimes, including assault, rape, arson, rioting, robbery, and a host of others. But deluded true believers don’t quite see it that way. They see the police and institutions as the problem.

Ayers told Goodman that the authorities in Chicago are the real troublemakers.

“What they’re doing and what they’ve been doing for months is to kind of deflect attention from NATO onto the idea that somehow the protests create a threat,” he said.

“They’re shutting Lakeshore Drive. They’re shutting the trains. They’re closing exits off the freeways. And they’re creating a kind of culture of fear,” said Ayers, an expert in creating a culture of fear.

“We insist that this is a family-friendly, nonviolent, permitted march. And all the kind of hysteria about what’s about to happen is really brought on by the police. I don’t think anything is going to happen, except that they are creating the conditions for a police riot, once again. They’re creating the conditions for more repression. And this is a very bad thing.”

Far-left activists from the Catholic Worker movement kicked off “A Week Without Capitalism” in Chicago by invading an office building housing the Obama reelection campaign headquarters. They claimed to be advancing “nonviolent resistance to the corporate G8/NATO agenda.”

On the other side in Chicago is Mayor Rahm Emanuel, himself a radical Saul Alinsky-inspired thug, who previously served as Obama’s White House chief of staff. Emanuel has beefed up security in the Windy City and taken other steps such as boosting fines for resisting a police officer in anticipation of the demonstrations.

Thousands of out-of-state police officers are streaming into Chicago to help deal with Ayers’s family-friendly nonviolent demonstrators. Law enforcement personnel would be wise to bring their batons and gas masks.

Romney Heckler a Paid Soros Operative

My article from the May 2 edition of Front Page Magazine:

Romney Heckler a Paid Soros Operative

By Matthew Vadum

A potty-mouthed employee of a George Soros-funded group tried to shut down a Mitt Romney press conference outside a New York City firehouse yesterday.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee appeared alongside former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to respond to a widely publicized taunt hurled at him by the Community Organizer-in-Chief. Without benefit of a time machine, President Obama, whose extended victory dance over killing 9/11 terrorist Osama bin Laden has been receiving saturation media coverage in recent days, preposterously claimed that Romney might not have tried to dispatch the al-Qaeda leader if given the chance.

In an incident captured on news video, the female heckler screamed, “Mitt Romney, you’re a racist!” almost a dozen times, wrecking the public relations optics of the event that was choreographed to highlight Romney’s foreign policy acumen.

It is axiomatic that when left-wingers are desperately worried about losing power they pull out their oldest and most reliable canard. Liberals and their more radical brethren scream “racist!” over and over and over again as if sheer repetition of the lie will somehow make it true.

May Day Terror Begins

My article from the May 1 edition of Front Page Magazine:

May Day Terror Begins

By Matthew Vadum

The Left’s May Day terrorism campaign got underway a day early Monday as at least seven Wells Fargo bank branches in Manhattan reportedly began receiving suspicious envelopes containing white powder in the mail.

“This is a reminder that you are not in control,” an accompanying message read. “Just in case you needed some incentive to stop working we have a little surprise for you. Think fast you have seconds.”

This effort to intimidate participants in the American marketplace for political advantage was not unexpected. As FrontPage Magazine reported Friday, former community organizer Brandon Darby, a leading expert on leftist tactics, said May Day protesters would commit “a lot of violent acts.”

May Day Mayhem on Its Way

My article from the April 27 edition of Front Page Magazine:

May Day Mayhem on Its Way

By Matthew Vadum

Occupy Wall Street supporters, labor activists, and other radicals calling for a general strike against capitalism across America on May 1 insist their activities will be peaceful.

As usual, they’re lying.

Protesters on May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, are going to commit “a lot of violent acts which they’re then going to blame police for,” former community organizer Brandon Darby, a leading expert on leftist tactics, told me in an exclusive interview.

As I revealed in my book Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, Darby has been a target ever since it was publicly revealed that the former left-wing anarchist saved the lives of innocent Americans by thwarting the planned fire-bombing of the 2008 Republican Convention by two anarchists.

Occupy Wall Street and the satellite protests it has spawned in cities across the U.S. and around the world have been spectacularly violent. Radical activists are responsible for hundreds of serious crimes, including murder, assault, gang rape, arson, rioting, and robbery.

The actions planned for May 1 are part of what left-wingers are calling the “99% Spring.” They are designed to disrupt the U.S. economy and ultimately to extinguish what remains of Americans’ cherished economic freedoms in the increasingly socialist Obama era. Leaders also hope to press lawmakers to promote the fraud known as “green energy” and to give those with student loan debts a massive $1 trillion bailout at the expense of taxpayers.

Jihadist Junket

My article from Front Page Magazine on Tuesday (April 24)

Jihadist Junket

By Matthew Vadum

Three New York City sociology professors traveled all the way to Tehran earlier this year to badmouth their country in front of America’s Islamofascist enemies, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reports.

All three are leftists who support the increasingly violent, anti-American, anti-Semitic Occupy Wall Street movement. The Iranian leadership and left-wing groups in the U.S. such as the terrorist-linked Code Pink also support the movement as a way of weakening America.

The teachers’ jihadist junket aimed ostensibly at teaching Iranians about the movement provides “living proof that although Communism for the most part is dead, useful idiots of tyrannies that do still hold power and endanger all of us still exist,” Ron Radosh writes.

The three academics participated in the Tehran University Occupy Wall Street seminar in February. In so doing these overeducated dupes gave aid and comfort to brutal fundamentalists who call America and its ally Israel the “Great Satan” and the “Little Satan.”

As the country Islamists call the “Zionist Entity” contemplates attacking Iran to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons, these New Yorkers’ activism could foreshadow the rise of a pro-Iran movement stateside. After all, a pro-Saddam Hussein movement cropped up on the Left a decade ago as the U.S. government pondered the invasion of Iraq.

The trio consisted of Heather D. Gautney of Fordham University, Alex S. Vitale of Brooklyn College (City University of New York), and John L. Hammond of Hunter College (CUNY). They appear in a news report from Press TV, a propaganda arm of the Islamic Republic.

Although Vitale and Hammond, a contributor to Marxist periodical Monthly Review, said little of substance in the video itself, the hijab-clad Gautney said the Occupy movement would agitate stateside this election cycle and push politicians to grow government.

“We have elections coming up in November and I think that the movement is going to be incredibly active in pressuring politicians to start addressing issues of social inequality,” said the self-described “Occupy Wall Street activist.”

The media-savvy Gautney has been adept at getting exposure for her views.

In an impressive feat of self-deception, Gautney wrote at CNN’s website that “Occupy may be anti-corporate, but it is unambiguously pro-American.”

The Left’s Spring Offensive

My article in today's Front Page Magazine:

The Left’s Spring Offensive

By Matthew Vadum

Communist Van Jones and MoveOn have begun training up to 100,000 activists across the nation in the fine art of terrorizing corporations and the general public in order to force change that the American people don’t want.

The activists plan to disrupt shareholder meetings of Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chevron, Exxon Mobil, and 30 other large corporations. They also plan to conduct “actions” against education lender Sallie Mae and businesses they accuse of profiting from student indebtedness. Their strategy is remarkably similar to the subversive plan pushed by SEIU’s Stephen Lerner that aims to destroy the nation’s financial system.

Their first multi-day training session in allegedly nonviolent direct action tactics began on April 9 and took place in hundreds of locations across the country. This “Spring Training” is named after the Arab Spring of 2011 in which popular revolts ousted various leaders in the Middle East and cleared the way for Islamofascists to take over.

Although the 100,000 figure provided by organizers from MoveOn and Jones’s Rebuild the Dream organization is no doubt a gross exaggeration, the training already appears to be paying off.

Santa Monica Students Say Pepper Spraying a PR Victory

My article from the April 5 Front Page Magazine:

Santa Monica Students Say Pepper Spraying a PR Victory

By Matthew Vadum

Santa Monica College students angry about tuition increases may have successfully tricked campus police into advancing their cause on Tuesday.

Apparently unaware of California’s continuing descent into the fiscal abyss, students showed up in force at a college trustees’ meeting to protest a planned 300 percent increase in tuition for core courses. The college says the dramatic price hikes are necessary because state funding for higher education is drying up as California’s spendthrift public officials continue to lavish taxpayer-funded benefits on their allies in the labor movement.

Up to 30 demonstrators, possibly left-wingers, were doused with pepper spray after a student mob was forcibly ejected from the trustees’ meeting. In America such chemical drubbings are almost always provoked by leftist protesters for public relations purposes. They know they can count on journalists to sympathetically portray them as victims of police brutality punished by the powers that be for speaking truth to power.
