FoxNews.com hypes story about ACORN involvement in Occupy Wall Street that I had weeks ago

FoxNews.com has been promoting an "exclusive" story that reiterates what I previously reported.

The story by Jana Winter is titled EXCLUSIVE: ACORN Playing Behind Scenes Role in 'Occupy' Movement.

To be clear, Winter's story is a good one. She has put a lot of meat on the bones but I had the story first.

Winter reports that
The former New York office for ACORN, the disbanded community activist group, is playing a key role in the self-proclaimed “leaderless” Occupy Wall Street movement, organizing “guerrilla” protest events and hiring door-to-door canvassers to collect money under the banner of various causes while spending it on protest-related activities, sources tell FoxNews.com.
The former director of New York ACORN, Jon Kest, and his top aides are now busy working at protest events for New York Communities for Change (NYCC). That organization was created in late 2009 when some ACORN offices disbanded and reorganized under new names after undercover video exposes prompted Congress to cut off federal funds.
I already reported on Kest and NYCC's involvement in Occupy Wall Street on Oct. 6. I also reported on Oct. 13 on the involvement of the ACORN front group, Working Families Party, in organizing Occupy Wall Street.

Winter's story relies on my reporting. An acknowledgement of my research would have been nice.

(I will ignore for the time being the catty, largely supercilious remarks on the FoxNews.com article by my friend David Weigel of Slate. It must have been Condescend to a Conservative Day at Slate.)

George Soros Funds Occupy Wall Street

I have a piece at Human Events Online today titled "George Soros Funds Occupy Wall Street."

Here's the top of it:

Radical anti-American billionaire George Soros is a major backer of a left-wing group that is funneling money to the Occupy Wall Street movement.

The nonprofit organization at the receiving end of Soros’ largesse, Alliance for Global Justice, is managing donations benefiting the communists, socialists, anarchists and hippies now occupying Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan.  As of Oct. 19, OWS had taken in a grand total of $435,000 from all sources, including donations made by individuals online and in person, according to reports.

It should surprise no one that Soros (net worth: $22 billion), the ultimate Wall Street insider and preeminent funder of the activist Left today, embraces Occupy Wall Street.

As I note in my new book Subversion Inc., this Communist sympathizer co-founded the ultra-secretive Democracy Alliance, a billionaires’ club that wants to radically transform America.  He has said that European-style socialism “is exactly what we need now” and favors American decline.  Soros, a currency manipulator with an insider-trading conviction, praises Red China effusively, saying the totalitarian nation has “a better-functioning government than the United States.” [...]

Real the whole thing at Human Events Online.

Union Gangsters: Andy Stern

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Union Gangsters: Andy Stern

By Matthew Vadum

Andy Stern is one of the most outspoken, cocksure neo-communists of the American labor movement.

“We like to say: We use the power of persuasion first,” Stern said, channeling Rules for Radicals author Saul Alinsky. “If it doesn’t work, we try the persuasion of power.”

Stern quotes Karl Marx in television appearances. In 2007 the wannabe Bolshevik told Bill Moyers that his Service Employees International Union (SEIU) was expanding to Australia, Switzerland, England, South America, and Africa.
We’ve been working with unions around the world. And what we’re working towards is building a global organization. Because “workers of the world unite,” it’s not just a slogan anymore. It’s the way we’re going to have to do our work.
Stern loves government slush funds that advantage the Left. He enthusiastically supports President Obama’s so-called jobs bill that would provide $15 billion for ACORN and its 20-odd new front groups, other radical left-wing groups, and state and local governments.

He also seems blissfully, willfully ignorant of the many misguided government policies and programs that helped to cause the current financial crisis. To him everything is the fault of investors.

“People burnt this economy to the ground with irresponsible speculative behavior,” Stern said in January 2010 at a labor forum sponsored by the left-wing Center for American Progress Action Fund. “And I would just say for the record that if American justice is really equal for everyone there are a lot of people that deserve to be called into account for what’s taken place up to now.”

As punishment, he supports enacting a stock market-killing tax on financial transactions that backers say could net $1.7 trillion over 10 years. The tax is being aggressively promoted by fellow neo-communist Heather Booth, the founder of the Alinskyite training school called the Midwest Academy. (Booth recently led Marxists in a stirring recitation of “Solidarity Forever” at a conference in Washington, D.C.)

Stern is also well-practiced in the dark art of Alinskyite vilification. At the 2010 forum he excoriated lawmakers for not passing the then-stalled Obamacare bill. Stern called senators who refused to approve the legislation “terrorists.”

“We should send the national security people over and explain to them why we don’t negotiate with terrorists,” he said. “There are a lot of terrorists in the Senate who think we’re supposed to negotiate with them when they have their particular needs that they want met.”

Under Stern’s leadership, SEIU became the fastest-growing union in America. His brutal, in-your-face tactics apparently helped to add a million dues-paying members to the rolls, bringing its total membership to 2.2 million.

Stern’s radicalism and love of thuggery permeates virtually every aspect of SEIU, which he led as president from 1996 to 2010 before leaving under an ethical cloud two years before his term of office was to expire.

Commies and Nazis and Protesters

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Commies and Nazis and Protesters

By Matthew Vadum

Being endorsed by scary, hateful, self-marginalizing extremists isn’t necessarily the kiss of death in American politics.

After presidential candidate Ronald Reagan was endorsed by a Louisiana chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in 1980 –an endorsement he quite correctly and forcefully rejected— he prospered and went on to evict Democratic incumbent Jimmy Carter from the White House.

But it’s different when the endorsee shares the core tenets of the fringe-dwelling endorsers.

It really shouldn’t be altogether surprising that Occupy Wall Street is now endorsed by both the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and the American Nazi Party.

After all, the rhetoric at Occupy Wall Street events is only superficially distinguishable from the communiqués that the Communists and the Nazis recently released to express solidarity with OWSers across the nation.

Every day news reports show bigoted OWS speakers ranting against Jews, the rich, bankers, corporate chieftains, and the Tea Party, and calling for bloody revolution.

In a similar vein, the neo-Nazis said they welcome the “‘Occupy Wall Street’ fervor that has been sweeping the land like a breath of cleansing air!”
This issue is TAYLOR [sic] MADE for National Socialists, as well as WN [white nationalists] who are serious about DOING SOMETHING – MORE – than shouting “racial slurs” and acting like “poster boys of hate” loons. After all – JUST WHO – are the WALL STREET BANKERS? The vast majority are JEWS – and the others are SPIRITUAL JEW materialists, who would sell their own mother’s gold teeth for a PROFIT. And MORE and MORE people are AWARE of this truth, are not only NOT afraid to TALK ABOUT IT – they’re shouting it on WALL STREET! [caps in original]
The Communists view the OWS movement as class struggle, American-style. As the CPUSA pontificates about the movement,
No doubt the “Arab Spring” demonstrations and those that exploded in Wisconsin, Ohio and elsewhere have inspired it. But underlying it all is the economic crisis, the massive unemployment and growing realization that nothing is getting better, and in fact we may be slipping into a “double dip” crisis. The crushing student debt and the feeling of being locked out of society with no future compound this. The movement is the newest wrinkle in the all-people’s upsurge against the banks and corporations and reflects a new level of class-consciousness.
As Jonah Goldberg reminded us in his opus, Liberal Fascism, the differences between fascism and communism are mostly superficial.

RIP, Dennis Reilly, founder of National Alliance for Taxicab Justice

I just learned that a friend of mine died. His name was Dennis Reilly and he was the founder and president of a group called National Alliance for Taxicab Justice that sought to reform the taxicab system.

Dennis was 72 years old. He was a good man who wanted to make his corner of the world a better place. Rest in peace, Dennis.

I am advised that a funeral-wake for Dennis is scheduled for this Friday, October 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd., Silver Spring, Md. 20901.

The Face of the Democratic Party

From Front Page Magazine today:

The Face of the Democratic Party

By Matthew Vadum

Salvador Dali would have been comfortable painting a mural of the surreal Occupy Wall Street movement.

Supported by billionaire Marxists, mega-rich Hollywood airheads, radical libertarians, indebted students, sexual exhibitionists, malingerers, and professional protesters, the neo-communist “Occupy Wall Street” movement is fast becoming the face of the modern Democratic Party.

This is a wonderful thing, says conservative columnist George F. Will. Will said he wants the Occupy Wall Street protests to prosper:
I think they do represent the intellectual spirit of the American left, but also I remember the 1960s. We had four years of demonstrations like this [that] led up to 1968, when the Nixon/Wallace vote was 57 percent – the country reacting against demonstrators, and Republicans went on to win five of the next six presidential elections.
Organized by Obama allies such as the sleazy, SEIU-funded ACORN front group known as the Working Families Party, the Occupy Wall Street mob’s demands are strikingly similar to the Democratic Party platform, differing largely only in degree. They include creating a single-payer health-care system and a “guaranteed living wage,” abolishing credit agencies, free college education, banning the use of fossil fuels, open borders, and $1 trillion in useless new infrastructure spending.

Prominent national Democrats and the mainstream media are now working overtime to convince Americans that a revolution is in the air and that they should embrace it. In order to make the movement more palatable to middle America, they are pushing the line that Occupy Wall Street is a left-wing version of the Tea Party movement.

Democratic office holders have been sprinting so hard to align themselves with the unwashed masses squatting in lower Manhattan that it’s a miracle they haven’t suffered sports injuries.

WND: Thousands of fraud cases just 'tip of iceberg'

Marxist Mobocracy

My new op-ed in the Washington Times:

Marxist mobocracy

Let them protest and rage - it lays the groundwork for GOP domination

By Matthew Vadum

Abraham Lincoln rightly denounced the "mobocratic spirit." James Madison considered it the sacred duty of government to protect property rights from the violent whims of the mob: "That is not a just government, nor is property secure under it, where the property which a man has in his personal safety and personal liberty, is violated by arbitrary seizures of one class of citizens for the service of the rest."

Lincoln and Madison would not have looked kindly upon the pro-redistributionist political street theater under way in urine- and garbage-saturated urban parks across the nation.

In an insult to the intelligence of the American people, the leaders of "Occupy Wall Street" piously claim that their movement is in the best traditions of nonviolent protest.

These class warriors are lying. The whole idea of these mass protests is to provoke the police and cause mass arrests, which the organizers can then use for propaganda purposes.

This exercise in Marxist mobocracy began on Sept. 17 in Lower Manhattan as the "U.S. Day of Rage." This is a more honest moniker because it makes clear that the demonstrators are the polar opposite of the Tea Party movement, which seeks to protect America's economic freedoms from the statist onslaught of the Obama administration. The leftist mob wants a radical transformation of American society in which government is expanded exponentially.

Occupy Wall Street is led by New York's Working Families party, a front group for ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), AFL-CIO and street-thug battalions from the various neo-communist organizations such as National People's Action and Democratic Socialists of America. Paid rent-a-mobs from the Working Families Party, which isn't even recognized in the District of Columbia, even paid a visit to the Washington Marriott at Metro Center in the nation's capital on Wednesday.

Although violence has been sporadic at the various "occupations" so far, mass violence is inevitable. This is what radicals want. What else could possibly be the end result of thousands of angry activists camping out for weeks without food and sanitation?

As the Pajamas Media website reported, a recent speaker at a parallel demonstration in Los Angeles gave away the game and unexpectedly injected clarity into the debate.

The man, apparently from India, rejected nonviolence and praised the bloody guillotines that worked overtime during the French Reign of Terror. "Gandhi today is a tumor that the ruling class is using constantly to mislead us," said the aspiring Robespierre. "The bourgeoisie won't go without violent means. Revolution! Yes, revolution that is led by the working class. Long live revolution! Long live socialism!" the speaker said to applause from the mob.

"Rules for Radicals" author and leftist icon Saul Alinsky agreed that nonviolence is of limited usefulness when trying to usher in a new era of socialism. As I note in my new book, "Subversion Inc.," he argued in his organizing opus that there is no reason to make "a special religion of nonviolence." In colonial India, he said, Gandhi's approach was simply "the best tactic for its time and place."

The mob actions Alinsky advocated and carried out have always been the antithesis of the American way of doing things. Americans reject lynch mobs and other forms of mob rule.

Conservative columnist George F. Will acknowledged as much on ABC's "This Week With Christiane Amanpour."

Mr. Will said he wants the Occupy Wall Street protests to continue and get even more publicity: "I think they do represent the intellectual spirit of the American left, but also I remember the 1960s. We had four years of demonstrations like this [that] led up to 1968, when the Nixon/Wallace vote was 57 percent - the country reacting against demonstrators, and Republicans went on to win five of the next six presidential elections."

Maybe there is hope for America, after all.

Thank you, Occupy Wall Street.

Occupy Wall Street’s ACORN Rent-A-Mobs

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Occupy Wall Street’s ACORN Rent-A-Mobs

By Matthew Vadum

Evidence suggests that ACORN, the Left’s premiere astro-turfing organization, has been paying people to participate in the Occupy Wall Street protests.

Astro-turfing campaigns can generate big money, and ACORN’s lucrative protest-for-profit program is nothing new. As I note in my book, Subversion Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers, ACORN has acquired great expertise in manufacturing so-called grassroots protests.

Left-wing loan sharks Herb and Marion Sandler, the founders of World Savings Bank, gave ACORN affiliates close to $11 million to manufacture mobs to protest their competition in subprime mortgage lending. The United Federation of Teachers paid ACORN $500,000 to create a spontaneous uprising against charter schools in Manhattan.

The sleazy, SEIU-funded Working Families Party, a front group for ACORN, placed a want ad on the Craig’s List website dated Sept. 26. The ad indicates that WFP was recruiting activists to carry out “direct action,” leftist argot for a variety of activities aimed at forcing sociopolitical change. The line between direct action and violent terrorism can become blurry. Extreme forms of direct action can lead to bodily injury and sometimes death. The labor movement is no stranger to assault and killings. Left-wing activists David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin participated in an attack on an armored car that left two police officers and a security guard dead. Two anarchists tried to disrupt the 2008 GOP convention with Molotov cocktails. The eco-terrorist Sea Shepherd Conservation Society admits both to attacking whaling ships with acid and sinking them.

WFP’s ad is titled, “FIGHT TO HOLD WALLSTREET ACCOUNTABLE NOW! MAKE A DIFFERENCE GET PAID!” It states:
The WFP is seeking immediate hires.
You must be an energetic communicator, with a passion for social and economic justice.
Only outgoing, articulate dedicated, determined candidates will be considered for the positions.
For those candidates that qualify WFP offers substantial paid-training provided by senior leadership, on varied issues such as: advocacy, public speaking, mobilizing, fundraising, networking and organizing. We invest in passionate people with excellent communication skills and a full benefits package is offered to those candidates that qualify. In addition, there is opportunity for advancement and travel to our satellite chapters and out of state affiliates.
This is not a policy job! Through direct action you will be shaping NY state politics for the next 20 years.” [emphasis added]
As previously reported, WFP has been involved in organizing the Occupy Wall Street protests since the beginning.

As radical journalist Laura Flanders reported, WFP organizer Nelini Stamp has “been here since day one and she is part of the organizing team and the outreach team that has managed to bridge the distance between that first day and this day and between the grassroots folks here and the labor movement.” Stamp said the protests are aimed at “trying to change the capitalist system” and bringing “revolutionary changes to the states.”

ACORN: Puppet Master of Occupy Wall Street

From today's Front Page Magazine:

ACORN: Puppet Master of Occupy Wall Street

By Matthew Vadum

The Working Families Party, an infamous ACORN front group notorious for corruption, was instrumental in organizing the Occupy Wall Street protests, according to radical journalist Laura Flanders of Free Speech TV.

The protests, which have spread to several other large U.S. cities, are part of what ACORN’s neo-communist founder Wade Rathke calls an “anti-banking jihad.”

Working Families Party (WFP) organizer Nelini Stamp has “been here since day one and she is part of the organizing team and the outreach team that has managed to bridge the distance between that first day and this day and between the grassroots folks here and the labor movement,” Flanders said at the protest in lower Manhattan.

We are “actually trying to change the capitalist system we have today because it’s not working for any of us,” Stamp told Flanders in an interview. Demonstrators are asking “how do we really reform and bring revolutionary changes to the states?”

The WFP is part and parcel of ACORN. In 1998 the party was officially recognized in New York State. WFP’s headquarters is at the same address as ACORN on Nevins Street in Brooklyn. WFP’s executive director is longtime ACORN operative Dan Cantor.

One of the SEIU-funded party’s co-founders is ACORN’s former national chief organizer, Bertha Lewis. Democratic National Committee executive director Patrick Gaspard also contributed to the creation of the party and sat on its board. Gaspard was a political director in the Obama White House and is a former SEIU executive. Gaspard was also an organizer for the radical New Party in the early 1990s. That party’s membership consisted largely of individuals from the Democratic Socialists of America, SEIU, and ACORN. The party endorsed Barack Obama when he ran for the Illinois State Senate.

WFP takes credit for raising taxes both in the city and state of New York and for pressuring the state’s congressional delegation to oppose Social Security reforms. The party has sister WFP-branded parties in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Oregon, South Carolina, and Vermont.

Working with its radical friends at SEIU, WFP advocates more government spending, higher taxes, universal government-run health care, campaign finance restrictions, free universal higher education, oppressive rent control, same-sex marriage, amnesty for illegal aliens, “greening” the economy by creating heavily subsidized union jobs in the energy sector, and mandatory paid sick leave for all workers.

In 2009 Connecticut WFP sent busloads of thugs to confront American International Group Inc. (AIG) executives at their homes. The protests were calculated to intimidate executives who had been receiving death threats after the company reportedly paid out bonuses using taxpayer bail-out funds.

SEIU's Stephen Lerner Leaks Plan to Terrorize Corporate Executives

Radical labor organizer Stephen Lerner of SEIU intends to terrorize the families of bank executives in their homes. Lerner, a prime architect of the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations, said this to Marxists at the left-wing Take the American Dream Back conference in Washington, D.C., on October 3, 2011.

Here's the video:

Like any good Alinskyite organizer Lerner poses as a mere liberal instead of as an anti-American radical. If Lerner gets his way, more labor and leftist-inspired violence and mayhem are on their way.

Union Gangsters: Stephen Lerner

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Union Gangsters: Stephen Lerner

By Matthew Vadum

Editor's note: The following is the third installment of FrontPage's new series, "Union Gangsters." In this profile, award-winning investigative reporter Matthew Vadum unmasks economic terrorist Stephen Lerner. To read about union consigliere Craig Becker, click here. To read about Big Labor kingpin Richard Trumka, click here.]

One of the boldest labor thugs in America today is Stephen Lerner, a crafty economic terrorist who manages to sound like a folksy self-improvement seminar leader while he explicitly calls for the overthrow of capitalism.

“People are ready to move,” said Lerner, an organizer with the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

“We have solutions. We just have to build it bigger and larger,” he said during a panel discussion Oct. 3 at the Take Back the American Dream conference in Washington, D.C.
“If we are really serious about movement building then we think one part is we have to act heroically, that we have to inspire people by our actions and we have to be willing to take incredible personal and collective risks, that that’s the time and there’s moments where history shifts and we’re going to decide if it shifts. That’s where I think we are and it’s a wonderful place to be because for the last couple of years it’s been shifting the other way.”
An SEIU board member, Lerner is one of the architects of a subversive plan that aims to destroy the nation’s financial system through intimidation, mass protests, and the mob violence that accompanies it. As part of it, Lerner targeted JPMorgan Chase for attack earlier this year because the bank would be “a really good company to hate.”

Lerner told a receptive union audience that it is necessary to demonize people like JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon in order to generate hatred and envy that will help to foment revolution. “We’ve got to be clear on the human beings who are bad,” he told the SEIU 775 convention in Seattle on Sept. 22. Wealthy corporate leaders must be made into social outcasts, despised even by their children, he said. “How do we make it so politicians don’t even want their money because their money’s toxic, it’s dirty, it’s evil.”

“It’s one thing if we say JPMorgan Chase crashed the economy. It’s another thing if we say Jamie Dimon makes $20 million a year, who is involved in the opera and all these philanthropies, and thinks he’s a nice guy, and he’s destroying our lives.”

Who said it's a stereotype that liberals and left-wingers sit around singing 'Kumbaya'? (Or in this case, 'Solidarity Forever.')

That what's neo-communist, Saul Alinsky-inspired, community organizer Heather Booth did with a group of Marxists at the left-wing Taking the American Dream Back conference in Washington, D.C., on October 4, 2011.

Occupy Wall Street Jumps the Shark

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Occupy Wall Street Jumps the Shark

By Matthew Vadum

It hasn’t taken long for the socialist-organized “occupation” of Wall Street to jump the shark.

In a surreal news conference at the United Nations, anti-American radical and rogue financier George Soros (net worth: $22 billion) threw in his lot with the thousands of Communists, anarchists, eco-feminists, malingerers, and professional protesters who have been baiting and taunting police in lower Manhattan as part of a mass demonstration that began September 17.

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) also jumped on the anti-Wall Street bandwagon. In a move that ought to permanently disqualify him as a GOP presidential candidate, Paul gave aid and comfort to the radicals who want to destroy America. “If they were demonstrating peacefully, and making a point, and arguing our case, and drawing attention to the Fed — I would say, good!” Paul said.

When told that a New York police officer pepper-sprayed protesters, Paul reflexively took the side of the radicals. “I didn’t read the stories about it. But that means government doesn’t like to be receiving any criticism at all. And my argument is, government should be in the open — the people’s privacy ought to be protected. So I don’t like it.”

The protests, which have spread to other large cities, are part of what ACORN’s neo-communist founder Wade Rathke calls an “anti-banking jihad.” Not surprisingly, the remnants of the ACORN network are deeply involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement. New York ACORN’s new front group, New York Communities for Change (NYCC), led by veteran ACORN enforcer Jon Kest, is one of the major protest groups leading the effort to turn America into one big socialist armpit.

Kest explained why NYCC is involved by using what has become the standard Marxist boilerplate about the financial collapse. “When the big banks tanked our economy they took away millions of people’s shot at achieving the American Dream,” he blogged. “It’s about time all these people come together and hold Wall Street accountable for what they’ve done to our futures and the future of this country.” Of course Kest didn’t bother to mention the role that ACORN played in creating the mortgage bubble by strong-arming Fannie Mae, pushing the financial affirmative action scheme known as the Community Reinvestment Act, and blackmailing banks that didn’t want to lend money to people who wouldn’t be able to pay it back.

SEIU board member Stephen Lerner has vowed to do his part to drive a stake through the heart of capitalism and drag the populace into economic misery. Lerner says he wants to “bring down the stock market” through a campaign of disruption. Last year George Goehl, executive director of Chicago-based National People’s Action, said that “the banking crisis” was “the next big thing,” and “the way to build a big economic justice movement in this country.”

Soros said he sympathizes with the rabble. “Actually I can understand [the protesters’] sentiment, frankly,” said the preeminent funder of the American activist Left in remarks to reporters.

But anyone who has followed Soros’s life wouldn’t dare to describe him as a working class hero.

Remember that this corrupt investment banker fired his butler for complaining after his cook used Château Lafite in a stew. The butler won a wrongful dismissal lawsuit against Soros. Soros was also convicted of insider trading. A French court fined him millions of dollars.

Soros’s hedge fund invested almost $1 billion in shares of Petrobras, the Brazilian oil concern, coincidentally just before the Export-Import Bank of the United States announced it was lending $2 billion to the company.
Soros closed a hedge fund to outside investors rather than submit to the new Dodd-Frank financial regulations – regulations he helped to enact by giving money to groups that lobbied for them. Soros shed a few crocodile tears for small business owners whose credit lines got squeezed after the 2008 financial collapse. “An awful lot of them actually were put out of business,” he said.

Remember also that Soros deliberately collapses national economies for fun and profit, openly expresses admiration for Communist China, and has said European-style socialism “is exactly what we need now.” He wants the American economy to sink into the abyss. “I’m having a very good crisis,” Soros said in 2009.

Even though Soros is the archetype of the Wall Street insider, leftists can’t bring themselves to criticize him, preferring to demonize the invented billionaire bogeymen of the Right.

Plenty of other rich liberals have been holding court near Wall Street in recent days.

Hip hop and credit card mogul Russell Simmons (net worth: $340 million), alleged comedian Roseanne Barr (net worth: $80 million), actress Susan Sarandon (net worth: $50 million), and celluloid propagandist Michael Moore (net worth: $50 million) have all dropped by to cheer on the protesters in their quest to redistribute wealth while radically transforming the nation.

Simmons stood beside Frances Fox Piven as the Bolshevik academic unwittingly created an impromptu parody of the “we’re all individuals” crowd scene in Monty Python’s Life of Brian. “Wall Street is the center of the neo-liberal cancer that has spread across the world,” Piven said, pausing every few seconds to allow the mob to repeat her words.

After Piven finished, Simmons stood up and did the same routine like an automaton from a creepy cult. As the mob repeated his words, Simmons condemned the “class warfare being waged on the poor and the middle class” and claimed:
The fact is our problem, at least our number one problem, is the corporations and the other special interest groups that are more important to our politicians than the people. The lobbyists and the money gotta get the f*** out of Washington.
The next big exercise in Marxist mobocracy is scheduled for later this week in the nation’s capital.

The October 2011 Coalition plans to take over Freedom Plaza near the White House, beginning today “if any U.S. troops, contractors, or mercenaries remain in Afghanistan.” Protesters will “resist the corporate machine” by occupying the area “to demand that America’s resources be invested in human needs and environmental protection instead of war and exploitation.” The group’s stated goal is to make the plaza one block away from the White House “our Tahrir Square, Cairo.”

Plenty more disruptive demonstrations are scheduled.

Next week will be busy, SEIU’s Lerner said during a panel discussion Monday at the Take Back the American Dream conference in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the left-wing Campaign for America’s Future.

About 10,000 demonstrators are expected to hit the streets of Chicago while protesters march on Wells Fargo in Minneapolis, he said.

Activists in New York are planning to campaign to extend that state’s tax on millionaires. “We may go visit some of them,” said Lerner, whose union goons have terrorized the families of many corporate executives in their homes.

Goehl’s National People’s Action group is planning a “Make Wall Street Pay” event on November 3. That’s two days before Guy Fawkes Day, the annual commemoration of the Gunpowder Plot in which English dissidents plotted to vaporize Parliament.

Fancy that.

Americans need to know that ACORN is restructuring in time to help re-elect President Obama in 2012. Obama used to work for ACORN and represented the group in court as its lawyer. Welcome NPR Listeners!

I just made my National Public Radio debut on Southern California Public Radio (SCPR).

We talked about budget cuts, federal appropriations, and the like. It was less boring than it sounds.

NPR listeners should feel free to comment on this blog. As long as a comment is civil it will be allowed to stand. And no swearing please. I don't have a problem with cuss words in the offline world but once they're allowed in the comments section the conversation inevitably sinks down into the gutter (as in DailyKos).

UPDATED a few hours later: This web page contains an audio clip from the segment.

Roseanne, the Red Queen

From today's Front Page Magazine:

Roseanne, the Red Queen

By Matthew Vadum

Although the revolutionary bloodlust of the Left is never far beneath the surface, sometimes it takes a crisis to bring it out into the open.
Take the case of Roseanne Barr, a self-described socialist and proud ACORN member. As part of her vanity campaign for the presidency, the unfunny comedian has managed to make liberal Hollywood crusader Susan Sarandon seem like a thoughtful moderate.
Barr is now calling for the forced reeducation and murder of wealthy Americans just as Bill Ayers’s Weather Underground Organization proposed decades before.
When meeting with the radical demonstrators occupying Wall Street, Sarandon recently stressed the importance of strengthening so-called campaign finance reform and improving governmental transparency.
Barr, on the other hand, communed with the hippy rabble in lower Manhattan and then took to the airwaves to urge that a French-style Reign of Terror be visited on the heads of those with incomes she considers excessive.
“Part of my platform is, of course, that the guilty must be punished and that we can no longer let our children see their guilty leaders getting away with murder,” Barr told Max Keiser of Russia Today (RT). “Because it teaches children that they don’t have to have any morals as long as they have guns and are bullies that they’ll win and I don’t think that’s a good message.”
“I do say that I am for the return of the guillotine and that is for the worst of the worst of the guilty,” Barr deadpanned.
“I first would allow the guilty bankers to pay, the ability to pay back, anything over $100 million [of] personal wealth because I believe in a maximum wage of $100 million. And if they are unable to live on that amount of that amount then they should go to the reeducation camps and if that doesn’t help, then be beheaded,” said Barr who happens to have a reported net worth of $80 million, a comfortable $20 million below her decapitation cutoff.
Barr’s proposal is eerily reminiscent of plans by the Weather Underground to intern and murder capitalists when their socialist revolution came. (The plan is discussed in my book Subversion, Inc.: How Obama’s ACORN Red Shirts are Still Terrorizing and Ripping Off American Taxpayers.)

Neo-Communist Subversive Frances Fox Piven Calls for Violent Uprising

Neo-communist subversive Frances Fox Piven has once again called for a violent uprising against the American system.

Interviewed by "Democracy Now!" at the site of the increasingly unruly demonstrations around Wall Street, Piven said:

I am here because I am so enthusiastic about the possibilities of this sit-in, over the marches that are occurring over postal worker issues, the sister demonstrations that are starting in Chicago and Los Angeles, and maybe in Boston. I think we desperately need a popular uprising in the United States. None of us know. I study movements. None of us know the exact formula for when those movements erupt, but it could be. And if that is true, then these people who are here are really wonderful. I would do anything to help them.
In the good old days, Piven would already be in prison with her fellow traitors where she belongs.

TV: Vadum re Goldman Sachs on "The Big Picture"

I was invited onto Thom Hartmann's TV show "The Big Picture" to talk about the controversial comments of London-based trader Alessio Rastani whom leftist idiots the world over have called a sociopath.

Somehow we ended up talking about Goldman Sachs and the role of markets. Hartmann argued that markets must "serve" people. Of course markets don't "serve" anyone. They represent the sum total of all economic activity. People serve their own self-interest by participating in the markets. The same people who believe the U.S. Constitution is a "living" document also believe that markets are supposed to serve someone or something. It is an absurd way of thinking.
